Wingham Golf Club

Played Wingham course for the first time. Good first impression. Nice wide fairways, plenty of trees to find shade. Play along Maitland river on two holes. Lack of sand or water hazards but still challenging. Exactly what we expected on a small town 9 hole course. Would play it again.

The course is in pretty good shape although there were a few patchy spots on #1 and the greens were punched. Pace of play was great and we had a very enjoyable round for a couple of duffers.

PLAYED HERE TWICE. 8 holes laid out nicely.

Love the Wingham course. Lots of fun and always improving.

This year in particular the course is in the best shape I’ve seen.

Fairly tight course layout not a ton of hazard. Has mature trees just not large woods areas, so not very likely to lose a ball which is nice for me haha however that can make it a lot easier (less likely to need a drop ball here)

A critique I’d give is the tee boxes, they’re typically a bit rough, they’re improving but they’re fairly cut up and uneven at times.

Overall great course, great management great staff friendly and just a peaceful place to be.

Wife and I are taking up golf. Course was just the right difficulty for us. Friendly staff, small town feel.

Great course for beginners as it doesn’t have water. Course is very forgiving and fun to play. Fairways aren’t in the best shape and a couple of greens have dead grass. Would still recommend for anyone who wants to shoot 9 and have a good time but not pay an excessive amount.
