Gatineau Golf course is in great condition
Except the fact that we have to walk long distances betwee holes several times, everything is was perfect.
One of the best bang for your bucks in the city
Exellent course. Well thought out, it can play challenging enough for the lower handicap, and fair enough for the higher handicap. Conditions are great for a newly renowned course. I really enjoyed the drive up to the club house, as well as the beautiful club house it self. Staff were polite and helpful for directions to tee and restrooms. If there is anything bad to be said about Gatineau is pace of play was very poor for a weekday afternoon. 5 hrs is bad enough, on a weekend but very difficult to take during the week.
Extra large green.
Beautiful golf course, however, they is still many finishing touches to be done to the course, in order to embellish it even more.
The layout of the course is nicely designed. The prices for a round of golf plus cart is very pricy. The course is very long to walk, therefore a cart is a must.
Thanks to Golfnow Hot Deals, I can play at this course for a reasonable rate and more often.
Awesome clubhouse, lots of carts, big patio with cold beers.
Big greens, some tough holes, only drawback is there are some long walks between holes. Overall a great experience.
This course requires maintenance, fairways and in particular greens are very bad.
management of the course should take a hard look on how they can improve the conditions of the course.
Nice Course
Overall a nice course. It was rebuilt a few years ago. Very nice Club House. Would recommend to anyone.
great price
price was great with hot deals but two staffers had to review my prepayment paperwork before I was allowed to play. Lots of hazards but easy to miss them. I walked and was done in under 4 hours easy.
Most greens need to be replaced.
The grounds were in terrible condition, even for early May. The greens were simply UNUSABLE. Maybe I'm spoiled by the course conditions in the Hamilton area but I couldn't believe how poorly the course was maintained.
My friend suggested that it was the fault of the weather but the 18th hole ( the only hole visible from the gloriously maintained club house ) was in average shape and the green actually looked like a green. If they managed to fix 18, why not the rest?
The distance between holes was also ridiculous. There are several holes where the distance between the previous green and the next tee box is equal to 3 city blocks.
They have no business charging a $40 walking rate on a course that has 1 usable green. When I asked a about the greens the reply I got was "oh, are they?".
I will never play there again.
