Neches Pines
The course is generally well kept. Staff is usually friendly. A large group of 13 play every day at 1pm and they act like they own the course. They play very fast (which is good) but they do not fix their divots or rake sand traps.
Had a good time playing with my daughter
Course was in excellent condition. Fairways were good for the most part and greens were in great shape. Pleasant weather and the scenery made our round even better. Will plan to play again at this course.
Golf round
Everything was in good shape. The greens and fairways were good too
Neches Pines Diboll , Tx
Course is good. There are some old guys out on the course who think they own the place. This sometimes deters from the overall experience. Otherwise it is a good course at a fair price.
Awesome plce
Me and a few buddies went on a Monday and came back on Tuesday. Enjoy the course, laid back, front 9 is a little harder but back 9 is really fun. Overall good. Staff is nice and it's always clean.
Good and fair
The course was just aireated, so the fairways were very uneven and holes everywhere. Once filled in will be a great place to play. Front nine is A little tight and tree lined. It is a good challenge. The back nine opens up and is still a good challenge to hit the fairway in the right spot to score well. All in all a very good corse and a great value.
Challenging, fun municipal course!
Neches Pines is a fun course. If you can survive the front nine, you can score well on the back nine. Front nine has lots of big fairways lined by loblolly pines, and streams criss-crossing almost every hole. Back nine reminds me of the old school Muni courses that are wide open "park style" (and this back nine backs up to beautiful Old Orchard Park). Great value, fun course, good grounds maintenance!
Neches Pines - Worth every penny
Front 9 is a little lower and a little less forgiving. Greens were in not the greatest of shape, but it was early in the season. Back nine was in very good shape.
Nice layout. Fun to play.
Front nine is cut through the woods and a beautiful setting. Back nine is open. Greens are in great shape. Fairways were in good shape except for a couple due to the heavy rain they had a few days before.
Solid Course
Neches Pines is a solid course and a tale of two nines. The front nine is in the woods with treelined fairways which requires getting in play off the tee. If you dodge trouble off the tee, moderate ball striking will allow you to score well. The front nine is very scenic and what I expect from Piney Woods Country. The back nine plays totally different as it is wide open. You can spray your drive and still be in good shape to score. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and apologized that the course wasn't in better shape. After playing it, I thought it was in very good shape. They were working on a few bunkers on the back nine, but the greens rolled true and the fairways were good. I would definitely would play here again. If you are in the Diboll area and want to play an enjoyable round of golf, go play Niches Pines!
Player friendly
A must play for any skilled level golfer. Great layout excellent staff and half the price of courses on the same level. Truly awesome.
Nice find
This course is an excellent find! I was looking for a place mid-point to Shreveport and this course came up. I enjoyed the layout.
Awesome gem
Excellent course well maintained wide fairways - good course to work on your long game.
