About
Wilson Lake Country Club sits along the banks of its namesake lake. The classic layout has been a local favorite since opening in the 1930s and is arguably the best nine-hole layout in the state. The golf course has an alternative set of tees for an interesting 18-hole round too. Though the design has five parallel holes, the up-and-down nature of the course will call for tricky second shots of varying lengths. There is no water on the golf course, but watch out for the mature trees and strategically placed bunkers that frame the greens. A Maine golf guidebook that was published in 1935 points to Wilson Lake Country Club's second hole as being "one of the prettiest one-shotters in Maine." This par 3 plays from an elevated tee across a gully to a tree-lined fairway.

A Gem
The course is in wonderful shape the groundskeeper and crew have been working here for years and know how care of her and it shows the bar and grill staff are awesome if you’re hungry thirsty stop in and the Joe in the pro shop can walk you through every shot on the course if you have that much patience just kidding he’s a great guy

Wilson lake is an excellent golf course !
Beautiful lakeside setting, series of long par 4s , large greens and Friendly staff . A historic golf course built in the 1930s and well maintained to this day . The Greens are very large, unusual for an older course . Course in excellent condition for May . Overall 5 stars ! Worth a try if you’re in western Maine .

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Greens are some of the best in Maine.
As good as could be expected.
Greens were full and lush and green. Perhaps a little slow but understandable with the lack of rain had. Fairways were a little burnt but again that's expected. Overall condition was good. Would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good challenge
League play
Enjoyed the start to a new Monday morning play with the boys but my knee is injured so everything is on hold can’t wait to play again great coarse and staff

Beautiful course with well kept greens. Best spot I’ve played at in Maine
