About
Wilson Lake Country Club sits along the banks of its namesake lake. The classic layout has been a local favorite since opening in the 1930s and is arguably the best nine-hole layout in the state. The golf course has an alternative set of tees for an interesting 18-hole round too. Though the design has five parallel holes, the up-and-down nature of the course will call for tricky second shots of varying lengths. There is no water on the golf course, but watch out for the mature trees and strategically placed bunkers that frame the greens. A Maine golf guidebook that was published in 1935 points to Wilson Lake Country Club's second hole as being "one of the prettiest one-shotters in Maine." This par 3 plays from an elevated tee across a gully to a tree-lined fairway.

Good little course
The course is improving. For the next step, they need to remove all the asphalt cart paths and replace with gravel that can be maintained weekly. The restaurant was closed today but the prepared sandwiches did the job. The restaurant normally provides good course food and beverages. Greens were all in very good condition. Traps were better than the Maine average. Pace of play is good.
Upgrading
They are doing a nice job improving the amenities. The patio area is very nice to grab a bite to eat or to enjoy a drink post round. The course is a nice course that is very forgiving. Next project should be to pull up all the cart paths and then keep them as fine gravel that can be dragged weekly. Keep up the good work.
Nice 9 hole track
Very nice time going twice around this 9-hole course. Green we huge and rolled nice. Also held approach shots really well.
Just go there and play
A great experience from start to finish. Friendly staff, really good greens, challenging layout and rolling hills make for a very enjoyable day of golf. Definitely worth a drive to this scenic rural area. Just hope I can play better next time.

As a new golfer, this course is great. Not too difficult but offers some challenges! And great deals on GolfNow app.
Off the Beaten path!
Great little 9 hole track. Really enjoyed this course. The stiff breeze really made it a fun challenge today. Very friendly people working there.

Course is in great shape and able play 18 holes in about 3 hours.
Huge greens
This is a beautiful course. Very large and very fast greens. Several bunkers but no water hazards. The par 3s are more deceiving than they appear. Overall will be playing again in the future for sure.
Decent course, well maintained
Greens and fairways in great shape. Wide fairways. Only negative is it's only a nine hole course. Would recommend for the hotdeal price.
Nice Course
Enjoyed this 9 hole course, staff were friendly and they kept the greens looking nice.
