Wingfield Golf Club - Runway/Hawk's Nest

Very poor maintenance on the course the fair ways are lacking grass mostly dirt ground is super hard the greens are yellow and very patchy only 3 of the 5-6 tee box’s are open sand is like concrete

We played the hanger and hawk’s nest. It was our first time there. It was not too bad for the money. Fun track.

After asking the pro shop about the weather forecast and we were told the weather would be okay and nothing to worry about

Thunderstorms rolled in when we were on the first tee box and we had to quit

We could not get a refund!!

We were travelling from out of province.

Me and my golf group choose Wingfield at least once a month because of the value. We also really enjoy having five tee boxes to choose from depending who is in our group will play the gold blacks or blues changes club selection on almost every hole. We love that the fairway bunkers are in play… and again, we can’t, compare the value of Wingfield to anywhere else in the city

Not too difficult to new players, the view is fine, value for the price!

The courses name different with Gaming golf watch, so difficult to match the name and data!

I had no expectations for this course as it was close to the airport and I heard a few negative things. I was pleasantly surprised by the course conditions and facility. The greens were in very nice conditions and the fairways were decent. Hawksnest was in better condition than Hangar but bot were good value. We were walking and signage could have been better as the layout was somewhat confusing in places. Overall we all enjoyed it and would return. Kudos to the person who selected your merchandise, very nice . We managed to do a little shopping. Lol!!

Overall this course needs great improvement and care to most aspects to be worth the cost of play.

Design: Nice links style course. Easy to walk with 27 holes for variety.

T-boxes: Terrible. Narrow, hacked to bits, more divots and sand than grass.

Fairways: Poor. Many dirt and sandy patches along with many divots requiring repair.

Greens: Very good. Well groomed with an average speed and difficulty.

Bunkers: Terrible. Little sand, very hard packed. There were large pebbles in most bunkers no rakes.

Pathways: Varying- some gravel some paved

Practice facilities: Driving Range-Ample space playing off mats. Large putting green (no chipping allowed).

Amenities - Clubhouse/pro shop is nice and staff were friendly and helpful

There were few garbages provided and no ball washers

Only thing negative to say is the planes overhead add an element of interest but gets a bit much after awhile.

Some holes par4s cart path only, why, fairways so dry no green growing due to lack of watering. Understandable with hot conditions and water restrictions but why no carts?

Fairway not maintained at all at places . No ball cleaning facility

You can try this corse as their green is perfectly maintained. Green keeper is doing excellent job to achieve spotless green surface.

We organized a tournament at the golf course, and the staff was extremely helpful through the process. Also, the reception went without a hitch. The team went out of their way to make it a memorable event with good food and professional service. I recommend this golf course!
