Hit ’em straight, bring your short game, and get ready for some testy up-and-downs. This 9-hole track is lined with pine trees and in excellent condition, but the dominating feature is the miniscule, elevated, mound-shaped greens. The design offers simplicity, with straight holes that can make it seem like you’re playing the same hole over and over again. The pessimist will say it’s a boring course, while the optimist will rave about the opportunity to work on your game on this simple course with tricky greens.

Getting there : From Bryan-College Station, take Hwy. 6 north to Wheelock Rd. Turn east and continue to Norwood Ln.. Turn north and the course is straight ahead.
