Cheekwood Golf Club
About
Situated in the heart of Franklin, the Cheekwood Golf Club (formerly known as Fairways on Spencer Creek) is conveniently located only 20 minutes south of Nashville. This popular layout has been ranked as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in Tennessee. Despite being a shorter course, the layout still offers several holes with water hazards and sand bunkers. The tight fairways and rolling terrain also require a fair amount of accuracy. The course has enough challenges as well as enough variety throughout the holes to make it a fun round for more skilled players, which also makes it a great place for beginners to get some practice. Being that the round is usually quick, the golf course is a popular choice for golfers looking to get in a quick round after work.

Great Short Course
First time playing and will play again. Surprisingly tight fairways for an executive course but very enjoyable. There’s quite the master plan for revamping this little hidden course but the easiest improvement they could make would be a water cooler or two. Played on a very hot day and considered drinking out of the pond at one point because there was no water and no beverage cart circulating. The “clubhouse” is sparse as far as food but there is enough to say they offer it. Hotdogs on the gas station roller were lunch, there were pre-made vending machine sandwiches for those who are really brave. Everyone was friendly, great staff, all very helpful.
Fun 9 Holes
Fun 9 holes and great value. Fairways were in good shape. Shoot tee-to-green was in really good shape. Will come back soon
Lengthy Executive Course
This 9-hole course consists of five (5) par-4s and four (4) par-3s. It is a cross between a true executive course and a regulation course. The par-4s are plenty challenging, especially hole #5.
The course was in very good shape, with zoysia fairways and bermuda greens. The only drawback was the pace of play. It took my foursome about 2 hours to play 9 holes, which is a little long for a course of this length. There was no starter on the first tee either, so players making the turn would have to jockey for position with those waiting to play their first nine. I paid for 18 holes, but only played 9 because of the mess on the first tee.
Awful
Have played this course before and had zero issues. Today the greens keepers decided that 10:30am was a time to turn on the sprinklers while we were playing on Hole 7. The greens keepers also were driving around in almost every back swing I took. They loudly were talking on their phones and had zero regard for the paying players game. Totally unprofessional. I went in after 7 because they were so distracting and requested a refund. They couldn’t honor that since I booked through Golf Now. Would love a refund for this money and time wasted at this poorly run course.
