Lamesa Municipal Golf Course
About
Lamesa Municipal Golf Course (formerly Plain Fairways GC) is another simple, small-town course that is great for the average hack. There are no bunkers, but the course has two water holes, along with tight, tree-lined fairways that provide some challenges. As they told us in the pro shop, though, “You have to be real bad to hit the water hazards.” The greens, and the course in general, have a reputation for being in good condition. This is also a great course to walk because it’s flat.
The toughest hole is No. 3, a tree-lined par 4 that requires your approach thread the needle of a 15-yard opening between the mature, old trees that protect the green.
Getting there : Driving north from Midland on Hwy. 349, turn left at the first stop light (South 1st St.), and drive 10 blocks.

Not so hot course
This course can be summed up in a single sentence, Champaign prices with watered down cool aid facilities. The course if priced more reasonably/realistic would be a solid 3.5 stars, but a not so hot 9 hole course at $31-$35.00 green fees, is about $10.00 at least over priced. The staff were very polite and accommodating which makes it tough to be so honest about their course and rates.
