Livingston Golf Course

       About
Long a 9-hole favorite of visitors to Lake Livingston, Mill Ridge assumed the neighboring municipal track in 1999 to create a new 18-hole layout that is lined by giant pine trees on the grounds of the historic Ogletree Sawmill.
This hillside course often presents nice views of the East Texas countryside, and a winding creek that rolls through the new nine creates a few more water hazards.
Visitors used to the old 9-holer are in for a surprise after holes 1-5. Nos. 6-14 play across the railroad tracks on the new property, bringing the golfer back to the original course for the finishing holes 15-18.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 north out of Houston. Outside of Livingston take the Mill Ridge Dr. exit and the course is just ahead on the right.

Nice course
The course was in good overall condition with greens rolling true. Pace of play was excellent. Will be back soon.
Great bang for the buck.
The course was in great shape, greens rolled true. Got good roll on the fairways. The best shape I’ve seen the course in a long time. A fun course to play.
Good day for golf
This course is awakening from winter and coming around quickly. Still a few wet spots but is draining well. Relatively flat course but has several challenges. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. We will be back.
Nice 9 hole course good value
After days of rain. The course was in decent shape. Fairways were starting to dry out and shots had good roll. The greens were in good shape ; placing steppingstones to and from the greens were a nice touch to avoid the mud. Fun round of golf. I’ll keep on coming back .
Nice course
Nice course in good shape. Greens were excellent. Enjoy this course.
Nice little course.
The course was in great shape considering recent rain. A forgiving course, minimal hazards. I like this course and will be a regular here.
Forgiving course.
Played in the rain today. The course drains well and was in decent shape. It’s a great course to pick up your confidence as it is pretty open. I love this course!
Nice little course in Livingston
First time to play. It’s a nice compact course. Relaxed play with few golfers for a Friday afternoon. It was being mowed the day I was there so the grass was little high. Greens were small but in great shape. Will definitely play again.
Good open coarse
Coarse is really looking good. Sneaky little hazards pop up out of no where. Some trees just reach out and grab your ball from time to time. Lol. A good open coarse . Always look forward to playing here.
Greens putt well
Good grass on greens and they putt smoothly. Fairways were bare so hopefully new irrigation system will help.
Holes r not bad with some doglegs and slopes. Greens r small. Lots of slope back to front so slow uphill and lots of break side hill. Bunkers were in very good shape.
Good open coarse
This trip was a good one. The coarse is really looking good. When they finish the new sprinkler system it will be great.
Golf at Livingston, Texas
The course was being fitted with an irrigation system. Holes 1 and a few more holes were being worked on. The course was bumpy, tees were in fair shape, greens were in pretty good shape. I would play here again when they finish the upgrades. This is a 9 hole course. The course is flat and the carts are gas???
Always good to play here
Always like playing here some easy holes and some that take precise shots. Greens in great shape. People are great. Looking forward to the next time.
Livingston Muni
This course is pretty good for the money and location. its a 9 hole layout that you play twice, but the hole are interesting enough that this isn't bad. the fairways were a bit rough, and there wasn't anything like a first or second cut, besides that the greens were amazing. hands down the best greens I've seen in Texas this season. I think during the Spring or Summer this course would be very nice for a muni, will definitely return.
Best bank for your buck through golf now.
Nice place for minicipal course. It is what you expect. I enjoyed and recommend this course. Golf carts are super nice and you. Can bring a cooler in.. staff is excellent.
Livingston Municipal golf course
Course a little bare on grass but it was early in the season. The greens rolled well but were fairly firm and did not hold very well on approach shots. Sandy around the front of some greens. If not picked clean you would hit it fat. Overall I enjoyed the layout. The course was challenging and I enjoyed the layout. I will play it again.
The course was worth the money to play. In fact I am going to play again Thursday.
