Livingston Golf Course

       About
Long a 9-hole favorite of visitors to Lake Livingston, Mill Ridge assumed the neighboring municipal track in 1999 to create a new 18-hole layout that is lined by giant pine trees on the grounds of the historic Ogletree Sawmill.
This hillside course often presents nice views of the East Texas countryside, and a winding creek that rolls through the new nine creates a few more water hazards.
Visitors used to the old 9-holer are in for a surprise after holes 1-5. Nos. 6-14 play across the railroad tracks on the new property, bringing the golfer back to the original course for the finishing holes 15-18.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 59 north out of Houston. Outside of Livingston take the Mill Ridge Dr. exit and the course is just ahead on the right.

Good for the price!
The course is a fun safe place to play. For beginners to is a great place to get course experience. The greens are really good but small upside down bowls. Pace of putts are on the slow side. Over all is a good value to play.
Accuracy Is Your Friend
Nice overall course. We played the 9 hole course twice for our 18. We had 5 golfers and they kindly accommodated us. They were very cordial about our GolfNow Booking.
Course looked fairly easy until we got to the greens. By design, mostly elevated greens and pretty small as compared to many courses. Makes you focus on short iron shots to get up on the green verses rolling back down into the short grass or going over and playing back up.
#9 is a fun and interesting hole with a blind tee shot to an angled fairway and then down to the green.
Would play there again and next time will know for sure that accuracy is your friend.
Great course for the price
Very fast pace of play, friendly staff.
Best value
This course has recently come under new management. Many improvements are being implemented and the facility has been cleaned up and organized. This course is a good challenge at a good price. The small greens are a great challenge for your short game. Good greens!
Great Value for the Buck.
Keep in the fairway where most holes are fairley tight. Great price.
Not a bad course, not a great course.
I'd say it's your average daily fee course, they do what they can to keep the place looking good. The first time I played, the greens were dead in spots and relatively inconsistent, but this time they were in the middle of repairing them, so I've yet to play this course with the greens looking and playing the way they were designed to. I'm sure I'll play here again as it is relatively close to home and fairly priced. The best thing about this place is the staff, they're awesome.
