Marlin Country Club
About
Marlin offers nothing but 9 holes of basic, small-town golf. The layout features narrow fairways, a lake that comes into play on a few holes, and medium-sized greens with minor undulations. This is an easy course. Take your time and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 6 south out of Waco and take the first Marlin exit. Find Drew Lumber and turn right. Drive to Rockdam Rd. and turn right, then drive until you see Country Club Dr. Take one more right and the course is just down the road.

Bang for you $$$
It is a small town 9 hole course. Finding the first hole could be tricky. Even though it is only 9 holes the course lay out is nice. The course is surrounded by a small lake that involves almost every hole. Each hole has its own challenges. Has a a couple of par 3 and 5 and a lot of par 4 that you can almost drive. There are plenty of trashcans and the tee boxes arnt full of tees and the greens don’t have 1,000 divots on them. I played later in the season. there was grass everywhere including the fairways and the greens. The grass was a little tall but it is understandable with the size of the facility. At the end it made it more challenging, so keep in the fairway. Over all a good course to stay away from the busyness of the big city courses. I will be going back
Empty course
It was great to have the course to myself. It's not in the best of shape but it has some challenging holes. Great stuff.
Not bad
Given all the rain in the last two weeks, the fairways were in good condition. The greens are a work in progress. Look folks, this course is a small town course with limited funds. It’s a good practice round course. For the price, it’s a decent value. Don’t compare it to CW Creek, be fair.
Hidden Gem
Great and challenging 9 hole course in the small town of Marlin. Fun clubhouse with great food and drinks. Definitely worth the drive and a fun change of scenery from the courses in the bigger cities.
No one showed up
When I arrived the club house looked like it hadn’t been updated since 1970. The biggest problem though is that there was no one there. I waited until my T-Time to see if any staff would show and no one ever showed up. So I paid and didn’t even get to play. I tried to do a refund through GolfNow and it said it wasn’t refundable.
