About
Papagayo Golf & Country Club is tucked away in the small town of Libertad, just southeast of Playas de Coco. The course sprawls across rolling, wooded hills that are abundant with wildlife. It is not uncommon for golfers to come face-to-face with howler monkeys, coatis, and iguanas. Pete Dye designed the layout, making sure to leave as little impact on the natural environment as possible. The wildlife-friendly design has even received an ecological distinction award from the Audubon Society and claims the title of being the most eco-friendly golf course in Costa Rica. At just over 6,500 yards, the course offers a decent amount of length without being overly strenuous for beginners. It is great for a casual, but challenging round no matter what skill level. Papagayo Golf & Country Club also has a driving range for golfers to use.

New owner new name Tres Volcanes Golf Club
Wow played here when it was Popagauyo Golf was a tired old course. The new renovations under new ownership is amazing new club house staffing, new indoor golf simulators, pickleball courts, swimming pool amazing changes the course is very fun to play and the staff is very nice especially Luis, try their volcano burger its really good. It is centrally located very close to major International Airport Liberia..
Wonderful
If golf is like an arcade, this is one to play. Very challenging, fun and really nice condition. Like most courses in CR, don't look for the ball deep in the brush, you might find a friend you didn't count on! This place is really worth it, only 20 minutes to beach side heaven in Coco.
