SLOW PACE!!
Friday midafternoon tee time. Saw a Marshall somewhat near the first tee but was just playing on their phone so didn’t check in and drove right past them. Pointless to have this person as there’s zero control of pace from anyone anywhere on the course. 6 hours for 2 people to play 18 is ridiculous when we didn’t even stop at the turn. Saw the beverage cart on 1 and 3 and never again the rest of the day. 4 some behind us said they got tired of waiting on us so all 4 of them drove into us on purpose. One hit a lazer down the middle of the fairway but unfortunately for him he was never able to find his ball after I threw it into the woods. They drove up asking if we’d seen it… nope sorry bout ya! Then I proceeded to point out the 8 people on the tee box in front of us.
Great course...slow play
The greens and fairways are in the best shape I have ever seen them. It had rained a lot the day before, so it was cart path only. This slowed pace of play considerably, and it was compounded by the fact no marshal after 4:00pm so one group of beginners held up the entire course for the afternoon. I would definitely play before 3:00pm if you want to finish before dark.
Nice place to play!
The course is layout is beautiful, challenging and a pleasure to play. I personally didn't like the speed of the greens, they were too slow for me (IMO) Others may like slow greens. After apeaking with the course Marshall, it turns out that the type of grass they have to use on the greens results in slower ball speeds. Overall great outing , and lastly , one of the best cheeseburgers I have had at a course grill in many years. I would recommend this course as a very good value for the money!

Local Gem
This course is always a great place to play. It’s always in beautiful condition and a great value. Staff is friendly and they have a great restaurant on site. The only complaint might be the pace of play for some groups - but that’s not really the course’s fault.
No Marshall after 2?
Decent track, staff is super friendly, no cart person, no Marshall after 2? It was okay until number 3 then we had a beginner group of 3 that broke every rule of golf and horrid pace of play. We skipped them by by passing to next hole. Ran into 3 groups of twos then saw a group of 5 older men that “owned” the course? Smoking cigars, not worried about anything or any time schedule., let’s say a 2pm tee time should finish by 6. We were on #12 and it was 7pm. Oh, golf now said, Cart included. No it’s not according to them now. $70 golf for 11 holes of golf. Might be last time
Paid for the round before we got there and they still charged us. Didn’t honor the deal we had already paid for. Won’t be back
Cart Path Only but still fun
Due to the large amounts of rain we received this week, it was cart path only. We still had a good time and the greens are in fairly good shape.

Great way to begin the new year
Group of 5. My wife, 2 coworkers, 1coworkers grandson and myself. It was my coworkers 1st time playing the course and they were extremely impressed. It was a totally awesome day. The meal in the restaurant was equally awesome. 👍👍👍
Sloggy Golf
Love Rayburn Resort. I've been playing this course for 20+ years, looong before the redesign. The course is usually in great shape and folks are always nice. Wish the green course was still available. The day I played the course, it was 1 day off torential rain storms and the course was a mud hole. I should have been shut down for the day to allow it to dry out. If it wasn't a 3 hour drive to play, I would have not played it. Cart path only and slow. Lots of folks on the course. Hard to pass up the revenue.
Sloppy Round
The course shouldn’t have opened. After all the rain East Texas received recently, the course was unplayable. Cart path only, should have been closed. Love the course, layout. Have played it for 20+ years and will drive from Houston on a regular basis to play it.

Challenging, but fair course with some phone - scenic hole designs
