Most of the course was Excellent, including the bunkers. No cart paths, making for a VERY BUMPY ride. Needs cart paths installed. Other than that, it was fabulous. Greens were Fantastic and so were the fairways and sand traps.
A diamond in the rough
The course and greens are in excellent shape!!
Cart paths a little bumpy! Nice challenging nine hole course!
Bird
I thought everything was very good but the course is pretty thing in areas. Overall, it is in good shape including the bunkers which were very well manicured.
Great little course
We play there often, greens are tricky. Great value for the money!!!
Nice sand
Good course no cart. Parts which is fine because don't have to stay on paths. Like the man in club house. Just so hotttt.
Prices were wrong.
The GolfNow app told me that the total for me and my friend to play 9 holes with a cart at The First Tee would be $39 ($17 for each player for the game + cart, $5 convenience fee), when I arrived, The First Tee had my reservation, but told me my total was $51. They claimed it was $11 per player for the course, and $12 per player for the cart, plus fees. Not only did we have to share a cart, but we ended up paying about 125% of what golfnow had originally said it would cost. Loved the idea of using GolfNow to reserve, but was disappointed with the misleading price.
Great little golf course
The staff is friendly and they’re always working and improving the course, the greens are excellent the whole course is a lot of fun to play
Good Confidence Builder
Pretty short 9 hole course form green tees. Blues would make it closer to normal distance. GolfNow app worked great.
Very nice nine hole course challenging the greens are in good shape lotta fun to play
The staff was very safety conscious very Friendly made it easy to play golf there!!!
Much improved conditions
Course finally fixed their bunkers , they are no longer rock gardens. Greens and fairways are now in good condition. Course in general could use a little variety. Holes 1, 5, 6, and 7 are all very similar par 4s. Overall a fun play though.
Misleading Prices Listed
Reserved an 8:20am tee time for the First Tee of Central Arkansas and was told that the total would be $39 combined for myself and a friend to play a 9 hole round with a cart ($34 course fee + $5 convenience fee to the app). I paid $5 through the app and was told to pay the other $34 when we arrived. When I arrive at 8am, the course pro shop tells me I owe $51. I ask them how, and they claim that it is $11 per player for the course and $12 per player for the cart (even though we still had to share one cart) plus taxes and all. Either the GolfNow app or the course itself was in the wrong. I paid a total of $56 ($5 on the app and $51 at the course) when I was told the total would be $39. I tried explaining (and showing the app reservation) that the total was $34 and they were saying they couldn’t help me with that and that they didn’t know why it said that. Not going to die over $17, but do want to point out that there clearly seems to be an issue between this course and the app. I don’t want other golfers to be misled like I was, so I hope this is soon fixed to where the price listed on the app is the price that is actually paid at the course.
Solid course
Fairways and greens are nice. Solid 9 hole course. Need to get cart paths though
First Tee Play
This course was located just down the street from UALR and I was very pleased with the Club House and course layout. I will be going back again soon.
Paid more than advertised
Staff does not know how to deal with Golf Now.
Had to pay the regular price so lost money. Paid the Golf Now charged and the regular green fees so we would have been money ahead if we did not use Golf Now!!!
We were playing at a very good pace until we hit the 8th of our 9 holes. The first tee typically does group classes on Saturdays for juniors and they preach courtesy and things like that however when we reached the 8th tee we saw the class for that hour. They were just teeing off and did not let us play through. We then proceeded to wait for 20 minutes for their 9 some to finish the hole, after we finished the hole we beat them before they teed off on 9 they still did not let us play through so we ended up leaving and will not be back on a Saturday afternoon anytime soon.
