3 variations of golf

Holiday at Robe, booked for a round. Staff very friendly. Headed off. It was very windy, as to be expected. The first 6 holes are challenging but the Kikuyu is not the best grass. A pity about the 6th green as it was more dead than alive. The next 6 holes with Santa Ana fairways is much better. The layout is challenging particularly because of the distance from green to tee. Often a very steep walk. The last 6 holes are very flat and open, not nearly as interesting as the first 12. Overall a nice country course with some interesting challenges beside the wind.

Good little coastal town course

First 6 holes are decent, nothing amazing, 2nd 6 holes are really nice, good views and tight challenging holes that rival a course such as the national in Victoria. Last 6 holes aren't great, would avoid playing if it's an option but not a bad little 6 holes. No challenges really. For $50 good course. Enough to keep you interested and going back. I've played 18/12/18 holes. Local to the town too

Pleasant surprise

Played the course before the new 6 holes were completed. Course condition of the town layout was not the best but the other 12 were both interesting and challenging with the new 6 holes rivalling any links course I’ve played. A very enjoyable game.
