Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Colorado (2024 #11)
Reviews
Great course for beginners or advanced golfers
This is a very nice course, that is kept in great condition. Things are spread out enough that you can normally find the ball you sliced 40 yards offline, but if you can control the ball and put your drives into the fairway you'll be rewarded with great lines into the greens. Last time we played here (late May 2024) there were no ball cleaner stations out, which was unfortunate, but outside of that, I have no complaints about the course.
Great tract
The course was in fantastic condition snd the pace was good. A bit pricey for this area but I would play again
70 and Sunny in January....and the course was GREAT!
The weather was incredible and only added to the golfing experience in the middle of winter in southern CO. The deal...cart and 18 holes on Tuesday..was exceptional. Very efficient from the pro shop to the starter to the first tee in about 10 minutes. Course was in great shape...greens were fast/flat, they ran a sandcat in the bunkers and raked the edges! In January! Now that is attention to detail. Smartly designed neighborhood course with plenty of space along the edges of the course, not in somebody's backyard. Very nice homes along the course. The staff was very friendly and welcoming...and made sure to invite us back! We'll be back.
Some greens in bad shape
Sorry to say but this course was a disapointment.
The greens were very sandy and putting was at best very hard.
Lack of water i guess
Ruff is very thick and needs cutting and so does the tees.
Sad because this course has a very nice layout and could be a top notch course.
this course is ALWAYS in good shape, even in the winter.
i have played desert hawk even in the winter months.
the clubhouse is old and small but it has current clothing shoes and clubs. we love this course. the best in the pueblo area.
