Golfer Reviews
Rain Dance National -Great but no picnic
Started cautioned "you need a 260 to play the blues." He wasn't kidding. It's a big boy's course. A lot of long holes, but add in that many had wicked dog legs, and bunkers. Long shots required, but it's not a wide-open banger's course. Placement and ball control is required. We got our money's worth.
Old farm equipment used throughout, creating a very fun theme. Great down-to-earth food at the large restaurant & bar. Fun day.
High score for the win
What a tough course. It is in great condition considering the weather we’ve had in Colorado. The staff is awesome and their 19th hole The Grainhouse is a great place to hang out before or after your round and to hit up at the turn. Now for the details. Long rolling fairways, brush, ravine's, and cactus abound. Greens are in great condition and were running fast. Great day on the course even though it was one of my worst rounds in ages. Loved the fact that they had bottled water in ice chests placed in a couple of spots around the course.
Great course!!!
Really enjoyed my round and would recommend it anyone that is near this course to play it!
A challenge course
It is a must-play course in your life-long golf journey.
Amazing
The reason I love golf is because of moments like I experienced at Raindance. This was a dream come true for someone use to Southern California golf and crowds. Though it was an unusually cold spring day, not great for my swing, I was awarded with drives hitting the downslope giving me some of my longest yardage ever. An undeveloped skill I needed was with approach shots after those drives. On down slopes, and being from CA, and using high compression balls because of the cold, I frequently failed to de-loft my clubs and went over many greens. I would move here in order to play this course regularly! I am a little concerned if the mansion housing being developed will mar the ambience, because it was simply magical. I can’t imagine playing the tips, but as a 13-15 handicap I used the blue and white mix, though some of the island green, most time I am sticking to white.
Raindance Shines
Raindance National is truly fantastic.
Would play it again inna heartbeat. I’ve played half the public top 100 in the US, Raindance belongs on that list.
great challenge Make sure they have your time!
Really cool course. You need to be able to play target golf. You can NOT Spray the ball!
Showed up and they did not have my Golf Now reservation Thankfully I had my email confirmation
Interesting
This course is interesting and has some great difficult holes which I appreciate, however it lacks in being a finished product and the signage is terrible you will get lost a few times trying to find the next hole/tee box. I do like the practice facilities and the range was different but ok. Overall I will continue to try and play as they improve but $100 max is what I would pay!
