Like this course
I like the layout and challenge of the course and with all the rain we’ve been having the greens and fairways are lush BUT this course doesn’t drain well at all!! Standing water in fairways and bunkers 2 days after it last rained! Not good
Early autumn splendor
This rural, yet close to RI 95, golf course is surrounded by greenery, some in the early stages of changing color . The fairways are lush, greens are in decent shape, Some of the infrastructure could use repair, the golf carts have seen better days, but they remain functional. I think this course is one of the overall best bang for the buck places to play in the area.
Fun but a little high price could use watering
Had high hopes with this course but the fairways have quite a few brown spots so could be nicer with a little more water and work. So a little highly priced for how the course is right now. At those rates 35$ not sure I would recommend it.
Very enjoyable
I have played this course many times and it is always in good condition ,and fun to play. The hot buy rates that occasionally pop up make Pequot a real bargain .
Best condition in more than 50 years
The greens and tee boxes are in exceptional condition. Rough is well managed and greens are true and lush. Have been playing Oewuot for 50 years and the conditions now are the best ever. It is a well laid out course that challenges the golfer without being unfair. Look forward to our next round there.
Course with challenges
Always like play pequot with some very challenging holes. Been playing there for years. Never been disappointed.
Ok course
The course would get a much better grade from me if the fairway were in better shape. The layout is pretty good. At but pricey for what it is. Only a couple dollar cheaper from another local course that is horribly overpriced, but their course is in much better condition
Don’t pay too much
Green were shaggy and bumpy. Fairways had a lot of ‘other’ grass. Not much difference between white and blue tees. We paid only $20 each, so I would not pay more than that.
Simple truth
I have played this course many times and will continue to do so as long as Golfnow can offer good rates.It is a 45 min. ride for me, but the course is in good shape and fun to play.I have written a review for Pequot several times , and the truth is I will continue to recommend it as long as the course conditions are good and the cost is reasonable.
Always worth the money
This was the best I've seen this course over the last couple years. Greens were immaculate, and the course was almost perfect.
nice mix
I consider this course moderately difficult because it has a good mix of nice wide open fairways as well as some tight target ones .I have played the course many times and never get tired of it. Right now the course is in really good shape, and I'm looking to play there again soon.
Pace of play
Tee times should not be set up when a High School is having a tournament. Kids were very slow. I started my round on the back nine. When I finally got to the first tee there was a league in front of me. Tee times should also not be set up when a league is playing. I would have had to wait at a minimum of 45 minutes to tee off after the league. Didnt have 3 more hours to kill so I did not play the final 9 holes. I am ranting here because I have never had a bad experience at this course before. The Staff person was doing the best he could.
Pequot golf course
This is an absolute great bang for your buck course. For a sub par golfer it’s super open and the greens are awesome. The course layout is well put together and offers a challenge for anybody beginner to experienced golfer. Highly highly recommended.
Great value
Booked a tee time the day of on GolfNow. Mid April, and the course was in very good condition for the time of year. The greens were in wonderful shape, and played true. A very decent course with a friendly staff, that partners with GolfNow. What’s there not to like?
Always Good.
Played with a friend, his first time here, and really enjoyed the round. He thought it was a good place to play. I always have a good time here. Play keeps moving, and the course is challenging, and the staff keeps it in good shape for the season. Always a positive recommendation.
Course was in rough shape. Had lots of rain a few days earlier. The person in the pro shop could work on his personality a bit and give up smoking!
