greens could use some rolling
For the amount of play that this course gets throughout the year, it's in pretty good shape. Only complaint is that the greens were very bumpy and need to be rolled.
I'll be back
First time on this beauty.i don't know what took me so long to check it out. I've heard a lot of good stuff about rock manor over the years and I'm glad I finally got to play it. First of all though,I want to thank Tom in the pro shop and all of the staff for squeezing my twosome in on Thursday when I had accidentally made a Tuesday tee time instead.
I thought the course was in excellent shape ,fairways and greens pretty smooth and consistent .unfortunately for me and my buddy, we ran out of daylight and only made it to 16 .but I'll definitely be back
Good Layout. Great value. Convenient location.
I didn't expect the course to be in it's normal great shape but was surprised. Greens were aerated but Rock Manor's superintendent takes care not to make the holes too large and they're filled with sand. They rolled smooth and were consistent and still quick.
Wonderful Course
This is a public course that accomodates a tremendous number of golfers and yet the course is beautifully maintained. I belong to a country club and Rock Manor's
condition is only very slightly below that of my club. It isn't a long course but the holes are interesting and the surrounding area is very attractive. This is definitely a great course to play.
Nice course
Course in good shape. Pace of play was a little slow but not overly bad. Wouldn't mind trying a round in the middle of the season
Fun Layout, Well Kept!
There is a plethora of hole layouts that are fun and challenging, fairways were great, greens fast, and tee boxes looked great. Will definitely return!
Good deal when using promo codes
It's weird, you can use promo codes with TeeOff at course that you can't use with Golfnow. They are owned/part of the same company. TeeOff no scheduling charge and with GolfNow your charged a scheduling fee.
Go figure. As far as the course is concerned, it was in good shape. I don't know why they don't let carts on hole 13. Yesterday it was fine to drive on if you were allowed. Fix the drainage issue so it can be driven on like the rest of the course. Pace of play really gets bogged down on that hole.
Great for all skill levels
Could not have asked for a better first experience. Staff was friendly and gave plenty of information about the course. The practice range is close to the clubhouse. Course was in great condition. Pace of play was as advertised, if not a bit quicker. Challenging, but fun holes for all. A great value for the price, and I will definitely be back.
