Open greens/fairways great for beginner to handicap golfer
Greens were nice and open, great for beginner golfers working on drivers. Found most of the balls hit poorly. Took the cart option, holes average 300+ yards and most are par4/5 holes
My boy, 6 yr old, had a blast as well. Great pace as well.
Beautiful 9 hole course.
What more can I say
Best course for 90% of golfers out there. If you think you’re too good for the Lark, think again. You’re prolly that guy with the new SIM2 set posting 135s at a $100 track but tel your friends you shot a 87 because of all the grease missles you hit. If you’re coming to the Lark and have basic inferencing skills, you should know what you’re getting into. So for anyone leaving a bad review on here I say to you sir or madam go clean your iron covers and find a 3 some to ask if you can play with..bag alert!
A Cheeky Lil Round At the Lark
Clear skies, Luscious lies...hello friends And welcome to a tradition unlike any other. Thee Lark. Good spot for an early morning foray thru triple bogey boulevard or maybe you just need a spark. Get that spark with your daily dose of Lark.
Nice track!
Beautiful golf course. The greens were in fantastic shape!
Nice playable course
Course was dry after such a snowy, wet winter. Greens in good shape
It’s a long 9 in more ways than one
3250 yards from the white tees is plenty long for a muni 9 ..... but 3 hours to get around makes for a looooong 9.
Thank you so much for your review. We hope to see you again sometime soon!

It’s long
It’s a long 9 hole course, but it’s your average muni course in every way, sans the extra length. Conditions are park district quality, layout is flat, long, dull - pace is rough. But they do have these crazy “golf boards” so I guess that’s something.
Love the Lark
We love coming to the Lark to golf. Can't beat the price, especially if you have the forest preserve card. We save $6 with each play. We usually play twice a week. Sure, the fairways are a little rough right now but Earl at the course is doing an outstanding job in trying to improve things. The tee boxes are great, nothing torn up. The majority of leaves have been removed along with twigs and branches, which makes finding your ball much easier. Also, the aprons around the green and the greens themselves are in terrific shape.Sure. sometimes play can be slow but this is mainly due to the amount of play this course gets. A lot of golfers play here, so yes, it does get crowded. In addition, golfers need to be courteous as well. If you see that you are holding things up, let quicker golfers proceed ahead if possible, hit only one ball, and limit the amount of time you look for your ball or measure your putts. These are the little things that can help to move things along and keep golfers behind you, happy. Keep in mind, everyone is trying to do their best and enjoy their round of golf! So kudos to Scott, Mike, and Earl for doing a tremendous job at Meadowlark!

Are you kidding me with the Soccer Golf???
The soccer golf absolutely ruined the round. Flags and soccer players everywhere. It was quite annoying. I won't be back!
Hello, we are sorry to hear that footgolf impacted your round. Our staff does their best to make sure that footgolf rounds do not impact golf rounds. Since they do share the same course, we may see some crossover but that is rare. We appreciate your feedback and would like the chance to talk to you directly about your experience.
The Spot
This course is theeee spot to be roll up with the crew for a quick 9, hit some bombs, lose a sleeve or 2 it’s all good no pretension no snobbery just good times babe if you’re on here leaving a bad review for the lark then you’re probably that guy going to the course by yourself asking to join someone’s 3some because ‘you don’t like playing alone’
Thank you so much for the 5-star review! We value your feedback and hope to see you back again soon.
Great Course, No Sand Traps.
I love this course. Only problem that occurs every time is that the starter doesn't start people on time or care about maintaining the pacing. So the person will push as many people out in singles, pairs, or whatever just to get them out on the golf course. This causes a ton of random backups in the course. We got pushed off 15 minutes early as a twosome, and were then waiting at every hole for a bunch of twosomes that had piled up. Half way through the course a ranger came up to us and forced a foursome out of us and the twosome in front of us. This should of happened at the start. If the starter would of just followed a normal pattern people wouldn't get so annoyed on this course.
I guess next time i'll hold back till our tee time so the guy can't force us into a pile. The people working at this course are really nice and friendly.
Get a life, guy. It’s a pandemic everyone’s out hittin bombs.
Thank you for taking the time to review our course and we appreciate your feedback on your experience. I completely understand your frustration and agree with you 100% on pairing up groups to make 4-somes. I took some time to investigate the situation on the day you played and reiterated with the starters the importance of pairing groups up on the first tee on busy days to manage the pace of play and limit the back-ups on the course. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any more questions or concerns.
