Tough Course

I have played this course many, many times and love it being on Golf now. If you can wait for afternoon tee times, it's such a great deal. Very tough course, not terribly long but you have to hit straight and there is a lot of water in play.

Worth The Ride

The Ledges is worth the ride, nice course in very good condition. My only problem and it was previously stated was the bunkers being full of rocks, they are playable though. Make sure to stop in and have lunch or dinner not only is the food OUTSTANDING your not going to be able to beat the price!!

Great course

Wonderful. I will probably play that course a dozen times this summer season. Great course. I would say the second best in Winnebago county

Nice track

Another Winnebago Forest Preserve course ( like Atwood-Homestead) that has similar features with larger greens and most fairways of ample width. This one is more difficult and in better shape. Bunkers, however are full of rocks. Need attention.

Elavation changes.
More water.
More doglegs.
More interesting.

Price points are $32 weekdays and $41 weekends.

Different....and a MUST play!

The Ledges is a VERY unique course. It's very hilly and scenic. It's got a few ponds and rivers. There are trees and open fairways. Plenty of bunkers, which certainly need to have better sand in them, but are definitley playable. Greens were rolling decent and were true. I think the only goofy hole was the first par five in which the green is blocked out by a large tree on your third shot. Everything else was good. There is a driving range which you can only use irons on, although there were local guys hitting drivers and hybrids. Pretty sure the rule is in place to protect people on the first hole. Anyway....We made an over hour fifteen minute ride out to play this and another course in the area. the $35 green fee with cart and range balls was OUTSTANDING. What made it even better was the snack shop. The prices are unbelievably fair and they make their own bread on site. We had breakfast there and then grabbed lunch after our round before we headed out and for 4 big sandwiches, I think it was like $13 bucks..I suggest the chicken salad one....Not to mention the girl behind the bar was fantastic. She was friendly, accomadating and really did a great job. We'll certainly be back again. The service and course were great and the price makes it that much better!!!
