Great Course
They always have the course in great condition from tee to green. They also have some very tough pin locations right now, which makes it even more enjoyable!
Noble Hawk is Fun Course
First time playing this course, and had an awesome time with a random Father/Son I got paired up with. Next time playing this course, we'd leave the Driver in the bag on a few holes, but what an awesome layout. The front9 is links with a lot of water; the back9 much tighter cut out of trees. The multi-teared greens is what makes this course, and a couple (maybe even 3) different clubs depending on pin-position. Don't forget to bring your GPS gun! Greens were nice, but our group fixed many more ball marks than we produced. I guess my only complaint would be the sand bunkers were mostly dirt, but you shouldn't hit in there anyway. Next time I'm in this area, I'd like to play again, especially at the Hot Deal special.
First time but not the last
Two in our threesome had never golfed here until today, and are anxious to return.. Tremendous layout and huge greens. Can’t wait to get back.
Great course
Really enjoy playing here, Tim is a great guy and the course is always in great shape!
Big Bopper & lil Bipper
Courses was in fantastic shape. Greens were off the chain. Great staff. Beer was 3 bucks, which wasn't all that bad. Will definitely play again
Unlimited Mondays
I have been golfing here for the past few years doing the unlimited golf on Mondays for $35.00. I love this course and the layout. Links style on the front 9 and classic layout on the back 9. Course is challenging but not overly difficult to where it makes you not want to come back. Always in excellent condition and the staff members are always friendly and helpful. Club house has everything you need. Very well stocked as well as drinks and food. I look forward to this course every year! It is a must play.
Always a fun round at noble hawk
It was a little windy, but not noble hawk’s fault. Had a great fast round as usual!
Best Public Course In The Area
Noble Hawk is by far the best public golf course in the area! The course is in great shape all the time, the practice area is great and the staff is always friendly
Outstanding Golf Course worth the drive.
Traveling between the East Coast and Chicago I was fortunate to have the time to search for a golf location along the way that was worth venturing off the beaten path. Given my schedule and location, I chose Noble Hawk based on previous reviews. I was not at all disappointed.
I love everything about this course. The layout is appealing, challenging, fair, and interesting.in the ways that avid golfers appreciate. The grounds are well manicured and maintained. Cart paths and other areas around the course are beautifully adorned with tall and short decorative grasses. flowers, and shrubs. Wherever you look, it's clear that everything here is being cared for in one way or another.
All staff encountered were kind, courteous, and friendly. The clubhouse is reserved, yet well stocked and the menu is all I hope for from a golf course.
Special note: I found the cart path design a thing of beauty itself and sheer brilliance. I rarely notice things like this but it was clear that a lot of thought went into how they wound their way through the fairways and around the greens to direct the golfers to the perfect locations as necessary and away from those approaching.
Also noted: signage is clear and sensible. Bathroom locations: perfect. Carts: clean and comfortable.
Complimentary bottled water on ice? Really? That's unexpected and thoroughly appreciated. I didn't have time to hang afterward but the clubhouse was warm and inviting enough that I certainly would have.
The layout at Noble Hawk has so many interesting looks from open links style with to shady, wooded scenes that challenge your perceptions as well as your skill.
I'm certain my next trip around will be an improvement over the first as there is definitely a learning curve during the first attempt.
The greens I found to be as tough as they come. Not necessarily due to speed (although they were certainly quick) but mostly due to the shape, slope, and how they contrast with the visuals. I found it very difficult to establish both a reliable line and a speed. This resulted in not only a challenge with the putter, but also on approach, pitching, or chipping.
In the end, Noble Hawk was a joy that I hope to return to play again.
Well done to all that make it what it is. You're doing everything right. Thank you!
Noble Hawk 7/11/19
Noble Hawk is one of our favorites. It's worth the 1-1/2 hour drive and we try to play it at least once a year. My only complaint is the sand or lack of sand in the bunkers was like concrete. Some of the reason may have been because of the amount of rain that we have had this spring/summer.
