Christmas Lake Golf Course

All 18 greens are horrible. i don't know what happened over the past month or so. We played 4 to 6 weeks earlier and the damage was not this immense. If your greens are this bad, you should offer a discount on the green fees. Someone is incompetent in maintaining your facility. Please make the correct decision and replace or repair all 18 greens or find another course operator who will maintain this golf course. You guys are not doing the job.

Course has gone downhill over the last few years. Every green is scalded. Most greens have at least 50% with unplayable putting surface. Owner is rude and disrespectful to players.

The fairways are lush, but the greens have large dead areas like they had some sort of fungus. Some of the bunkers haven't seen a power rake in a while.

It was sprinkling when I started but then the sun came out and it was just hot and humid. The course was empty and I played 18 holes in 2 and 1/2 hours.

When I came in there were a number of walkers finishing the front nine. As up and down as the course is that would be a decent walk...but from one green to the next tee is always fairly close so it is definitely a walkable course.

Been playing Santa Claus for years, and this is the worst I've ever seen the greens. Fairways are good along with tee boxes, but the bunkers and greens are BAD BAD. I know they filed for bankruptcy earlier this year and God I hope they turn it around. Love the layout and the staff has always been great especially when I'd bring my kids.

Please start taking care of this course. It is such a fun layout, but no maintenance is being done other than mowing at the moment.

Let me first say that the people that I interacted with at the course could not have been nicer. This course was one of the nicest in the area a few years ago when I last played it. With that being said sadly the course is not what it once was.

To say that the greens were burnt would have been an understatement. Some are close to being unplayable. Cart paths have crumbled to the point where just gravel would be a major improvement, and we agreed to lay out of the bunkers, if you still want to call them that, since there wasn’t enough sand in them to cover up the weeds that was growing in them. I will say the tee boxes and fairways were in good condition which made the condition around the greens baffling.

I really hope that something is done for this track because it is a great layout with wonderful people.

At one time this was a top &% public course. It fell off the list for a lot of reasons, but it's in such disrepair that it's nearly unplayable. It looks like a fun layout, but the mowing is all over the place, every bunker I saw was unplayable, and every green had bare spots. It's just not acceptable conditions.

I understand it rained the following day but this course has a drainiage problem. The bathrooms on the clubhouse and on the course were pitiful and the one on the course had black mold. The greens were very poor, a lot of dead grass spots.

The club house forget to renew their liquor license and we had to go to a gas’s statton nearby to purchase beer.

course and excellent shape except for greens have problems with brown spots but other than that it's still pretty nice just need to get a handle on their greens

The fairways are in great shape. The greens are spotty. The bu kers were filled with weeds. The layout is still enjoyable.

This course looks like it is being brought back to life which I truly hope is the case because the layout is outstanding.

It’s worth the price and even a little more if it will help rejuvenate the conditions of the course. I would love to come back in two years to see if it is I. Better shape. Absolutely worth the price and minor detour off I-64 if your near the area. Currently 2 stars is an honest rating but it easily could be a 4.8 or more in a short time.

i love this course, they are open all season long great course layout and wonderful staff.

Staff was very friendly. Course layout is fairly simple. Unfortunately, had a 1:00 tee time and a gentleman walked up as I was leaving and said 3 for around 1:00 but we have no tee time. I pull up to #1 with my playing partner and of course, the gentleman and his group of 3 just jumped in front of us. No one from course managing whose next to tee off so a bit aggravating. Also, greens were in pretty bad shape, but it was end of February so I'll give them a pass on that.

Great layout! Fairways are in good shape. Only complaint that kept me from rating 5 stars, the greens had a lot of dead spots but they rolled true. Staff was very friendly and I will definitely play again!
