No one out monitoring pace of play. One group holding up at least two groups behind them. Skipped #9 to get in front of them. Other groups we came across switched to the back nine because pace was so bad.

A great day on the course
My wife and I played a round at Devou recently, and really enjoyed it. The course is probably the most up-and-down layout I have ever seen, so lots of interesting angles to deal with. It was beautiful, and certainly some holes were very challenging. Overall a very good experience.

Lied to me
It was raining this morning so I called them an hour before my teatime to ask them if they would be open even though it was raining. They assured me they were open, then went over there to find out that they were closing because of the rain. Total waste of a morning.

It's rough
The course is in rough shape at the moment. It is April and I understand. The grass is still brown, some of the tee boxes are mole ridden, and hole 11 is still unfinished. The staff members are friendly, the clubhouse is immaculate, and the carts are newer. The course is just really rough.
