Beautiful musical course
You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer municipal course in the state of Iowa. The course was in great shape. Prices are affordable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All around great experience.
Fun Course!
My Dad and I have played in their Men's Invitational almost every year for the last two decades. We're from SE Wisconsin originally, but it's a fun road trip from the Milwaukee area.
Course is always in pristine condition for the invitational. It's short, but comes with its challenges. Lot's of places to get in trouble, mainly for us long hitters who try to reach the Par 4s on our drives (snap-hooking it OB).
The biggest con of the last 10 years came when they sold land to a local hospital and hence changed up two of their holes, building two new holds on the back 9. The new holes are no match for the original two, and it turns out the new hospital didn't need the land to begin with.
Also, the Par 3 on #8 - the tees are sometimes tucked back too far where the power lines overhead feel like they could come into play. They never do, but it's odd teeing off with them directly over your head.
Overall it's a fun course in great shape and we always look forward to playing in the Invitational every July!
