Stay Away
Course was fine, if a bit wet. Customer service was extremely poor esp in a customer service industry. Our cart broke down on 5th hole. When we called the clubhouse for a solution we were chastised that we “broke the cart”. The correct answer should have been, “Sorry this happened. I’ll bring another one right over.” Our pace of play was rather slow as the weather was nice and there was no one behind us for the final 9 holes. On hole 17 (yes, hole 17!) the ranger came over to tell us to move along as we were 20 minutes behind schedule. When asked why we needed to move along with no one behind us, his response was, “I run this course, not you.” No need to subject myself to this from the staff on a golf course.
Bring plenty of balls
Very easy to lose balls in underbrush - full of Poison Ivy and Sticker bushes. Hit it close and bounce in - GONE.
Nice Course
We enjoyed our time on Braintree! The greens were in fantastic shape, the fairways were spotty in places, but generally fine. We walked the course and finished in about 4 hours which was terrific!! Pace of play on public courses can be challenging. I was wishing for more water or drinks on the hot day we played, we only saw the cart girl once and we had either just started or had just finished the 9th hole Snack Shack. Overall it was a win, great value, very pleasant golf experience!!
Worth Playing
Overall a very nice municipal course. Greens were in great shape and challenging. Fairways had some bad patches, which I suspect was from soggy conditions over time. Definitely recommend. Don't miss the goats on the back 9!
Watch out for Wasps in the sand traps
Greens are in good shape, fairways below average. Sand traps are full of wasps, so do your best to avoid them. Pace of play was good except for the group of nine on the last three holes without a ranger in site
Well done
Course in good condition considering recent heavy rains. Rough high which made it harder and increased play time finding that round white thing. Teed off right on time. Greens and tee boxes in good shape. Addition of gps helps with judging distances to hazards. Good value.
Great golf, Great course
Great round of golf here today. I was in a group of fun guys. The was in great shape. It may been one of the hottest days of the year for this area. Only problem was the cart person and the Snack Shack didn't have ice.
Best conditions ever
I've played this course for 45 yrs. It's beautiful. Best conditions I've ever seen. Rough is rough, however playable. Perfect greens and fringe. Can't wait to play again.
First time playing here
Beautiful and well managed course. Greens were very fast and extremely difficult. Overall I’m looking forward to going back
Rangers are the worst
Had to wait on every tee box for the groups in front of us and the rangers kept telling us to pick up the pace. Grill girls and inside staff are fine. On course guys are clueless
I have been playing here for years. This is the best shape I have ever seen this course. From tees to green excellent!!!
