#1 at Ponkapoag Golf Club

Greens are in terrible shape, lots of bare dirt. Sand traps have grass growing in them, no sand to speak of. This course needs some attention badly, if it wasn't the ponly option at last minute I wouldn'r have played there.

This past Saturday a group of 5 of us travelled from out of state and booked a couple tee times for this course. By the time we got to the first green we knew we made a mistake, the condition of the green was the worst I’ve ever seen. Large patches of no grass on the green, grass clippings left all over the green.

We played 2 holes and was directed to the next hole and then found out we didn’t even play the correct hole. At this point the condition of the course was too much for us to stand and we left. First time I’ve ever left a round of golf early…. Really sad that our group travelled from out of state to be disappointed like this…

Really poor course conditions but made for a fun day. No discernible difference between fairway and rough. Many short holes that leave opportunities for low scores. Long grass is everywhere and makes it difficult to hit out of. Only major issue is the greens, which light as well be renamed to browns or tans. Overall not a bad place for the money and probably great for first timers too. Will come back

It was awful the worst condition for a golf course I’ve ever seen. The greens were horrible. Every single green was horrible. It was rough on the green sand bunkers on the green actually I don’t think you can call it a green.!!!! anyway, it was the worst course I have ever played on. I would never go back there again. and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know or anyone I don’t know for that matter.!!!!!!

I don't let that bother me, I just take a 2 when I'm on the green. otherwise, I love the course.

Course is in pretty tough shape with terrible greens, but you are getting out there for $45 what are you expecting………….. Great value for the money

worst greens i’ve ever played in my life - all cut to fringe length its a joke. don’t waste your time. better off chipping on the greens instead of putting.

Unless of course you're into sand traps on the greens and greens with inch long grass.

Probably the worst condition course I've ever played

I knew the greens were in rough shape going in. So I wasn't disappointed. The sand traps are kind of hard and have no rakes..

BUT, The course layout is interesting and well done. I wouldn't walk it as sometimes there is pretty good distance in between holes, But I thought the layout was good.. Everything is green, the fairways are terrific.

The greens are an absolute disaster. Not just brown and patchy, but even where they're green. You can see the ball bouncing along as if it's over 30 miniature speeds bumps.

I thought it was a great value and I would absolutely play there again. Just don't plan on being to concerned with putting.

It was also a fairly quick round and I had heard it could be slow but that wasn't my experience

First time on this course. Will not be back. It's very cheap so I'm sure it's fine if you just wanna hack around. At one point I was thinking about using my pitching wedge on the green. Massive sandy areas on greens. Weeds growing out of them. Bunkers are full of grass and weeds. All around just not worth the time.

The only thing I can say bad about the course, are the greens, they are in horrible horrible shape, there are10 different kinds of weeds growing on the greens, and there are sand spots otherwise I love the course.

The greens were in tough shape but the rest of the course was good. Still had a good time playing this course and the staff were great as well.

The greens were an embarrassment. The was no grass on at least a 3rd of every green. If there was any green the balled was hopping hitting the weeds and bare spots on the greens. The sand traps didn't have any rakes.

Played in 3 hours which was great but the greens took away any putting.
