Rockland Golf Course

There should be a disclaimer on the courses website when the greens have been aerated and sanded or rates should at least reflect this. Some approach shots to the green are just dirt/ mud patches not a blade of grass in sight.Plus the 18th hole has a temporary green so the round has a very anticlimactic ending. I get that it’s early in the season but this has been going on for the last few seasons. Place has potential it just doesn’t get the TLC it needs in order to be a playable golf course.

Have played Rockland many times, this was a round in December/Winter, when it was mild out but wet, but the course was open and playable. Kudos for them being open, however it's December so the course had various issues due to the time of year. Hopefully in the spring the greens bounce back. It's mostly par 3s (some long), easy to walk and the service is typically good. Good for the money.

Course is a great par 3 everything you could ask for with 5/6 par 4s tossed in to keep it interesting, the greens were rolling very well for thanksgiving.

My only complaint is that when I booked online, the rate included a cart. When I got there, the woman working in the pro-shop did not agree. Luckily, I had a screenshot of the reservation from the third-party booking site.

To practice your irons and course management, it's an excellent and effective golf course.

Over all the course is nice. A bit pricey for a par 3. There are many nicer courses on the area that are cheaper.

This a fun little course and lots of options for tees depending on how you want to play. I played from the whites to make it a true par 3 on all the holes vs playing from the tips, makes some of them par 4s. Conditions were average at best. Greens pretty bad. Not many putts rolled true. For the money it’s not bad to work on your short game. Would go back but keep expectations low.

This isn’t my first time playing this course. When I was a Rockland resident, I played here all the time as a solid irons practice course. This however will be my last time playing here. The course was WET. Very wet. I understand that’s what happens when you have the wettest summer since, well, ever. But, the greens were practically washed away and impossible to putt on. Not to mention, they had been aerated within a couple days of my playing here…punched while the greens were so far gone they never had a chance to recover from the moisture.

The pace of play was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. Again, I understand that it’s a course designed for new players who hit driver/driver/driver/driver/wedge/wedge and 4 putt, but let the faster players through!!!! When these people are hitting their 5th shot from 30 yards in front of the tee, and there’s a single with a pitching wedge in his hands waiting to tee off, move aside!!!

The greens have been rough this summer, but there has been a little recovery. The rest of the course played fine. Great course for working through your irons and wedges though.

Unreal - this is the 2nd longest 18 hole par 3 in America. 6 par 3's over 235 yards. Greens are coming back from a summer water problem, but roll nice. Fantastic layout, friendly staff, great food and a awesome bar. We grabbed a beer and had a cigar out on the patio looking over the course. Great day!!!

The greens were beat up with portions of the greens missing grass entirely. There was grass clippings all over the place including the edge of the greens. The course layout was a little bit confusing where several holes appeared to share a tee box
