Falmouth Country Club - Talon Course

Absolutely horrible spacing of groups. We waited to tee off on the first hole for over a half hour past our tee time. Then we had to wait for 10 minutes on hole 2, 20 minutes to tee off on 3, and then there was a FIVE group backup to tee off on hole 4, over a half hour wait. Called it quits after that as we would have been playing until 3AM at that rate. Don’t waste your money here, spend a little extra money somewhere else for a much more enjoyable experience.

A ranger to keep pace of play moving would be helpful.

The greens are consistent and fairways green even in the drought. Staff are super nice. New carts in great shape. Great location

Course was actually okay.. Some tough and interesting holes. Requires shot shaping. Fast-ish greens. Overall acceptable condition.

Unfortunately, lots of hackers who didn’t grasp basic etiquette really made the pace unbearably slow. Staff was pleasant. There was a cart girl.

Worth going at hot deal price but I wouldn’t pay full price given nearby options.

Gud course, 2 courses to choose from. The course is very well put together and is kept it quality condition.

We arrived early for our tee time and were put out early.

The young man who checked us in was professional and engaging.

Stan the starter was outstanding. He explained the intricacies of the course layout and sent us in our way. Yoi can tell he liked his job. Mary, who was on the beverage cart was great.

We will definitely go back.

Course was very well maintained. Played solo at 7:30 AM and breezed through in 1.5 hours

Wide fairways and not much elevation. Might be a tad boring for higher skill but as someone just getting into the game I loved it.

Course is in very good condition, although greens could be faster.

I have been on the cape my whole life. For the past 15 years, cape cod has offered the most in terms of hospitality, and a welcoming vibe. Everyone down here is incredible, except for the grump behind the front desk. I’m a golfer, I’m accustom to showing up at 430 AM, checking in, and teeing off. This gentlemen unfortunately was not. He was incredibly rude and not helpful. He complained to me and my cousins that we would screw up the entire day because we had 5 total golfers. He bullied us from the parking lot to the first tee. Turns out, it was not as “slammed packed” as he claimed. No one was behind us for 3 holes, yet his minion groundskeeper followed us around like a parking lot security guard. He also thought it would be ideal to clean the greens every time I had a birdie putt. Overall experience was awful. Too bad because the course is well known and I’m pretty good shape, minus the knucklehead ground keeper. I recommend this course as a last resort. I shot even par by the way. Place is a dump.

Was worried about the rain but turned out to be awesome time no rain!

I was a little apprehensive about the first time out, being that COVID-19 has really affected the protocols. But it was no problem,. I masked up until we were out on the course and we managed to keep our distance apart easily. The course is in good shape and a nice breeze kept things somewhat comfortable most of the day. Not having "facilities" available was inconvenient, but we made do anyway. My only complaint is that the 14th hole is the longest, most boring hole on the course. It needs some terrain or even plantings to make it more interesting. Maybe they should dig out a section of the brook, creating a pond and then use the soil to form a mound. Do something. But I enjoyed the day and will be back. The price is right!
