Wow
Worst golf course I have ever played. Play about 4 times a week and this is by far the worst course in the valley. 4 hours for the front 9. We left after the 12th hole. Save your money go anywhere else but here. This place sucks.
No Covid 19 Awareness!
Not Covid 19 Aware! Terrible customer service on the course! Always harassing the people that play there every week. Hassled for taking water on course when there is no water and temperatures are high and hassled for pace of play and hassled if you don't stay in a foursome that they demand you be with!!!!
Public course with private mentality
4:25hr round wasn’t fast enough. Continuously harassing us about pace of play at 630 in the morning in a Sunday. Absolutely ridiculous and unfriendly on the course, but friendly at the counter.
Nice Course
Course is in very good shape with a lot of picturesque views along the Merrimack River. Some interesting holes including 4 par 3's that play downhill and 4 par 5's that can be reached in two. The green fees are a bit expensive and a couple of greens are too slopey and frustrating if you're on the wrong side of the hole. Still one of my favorite public courses
Great conditions, Great lay out...but.....
Trull is a great track, great location, and fun to play. Very walkable and they do a great job of keeping the beverage carts out there (they are noisy, however). You'll have a great mix of hard, easy and quirky holes (10-12). One thing you will definitely notice, THE GREENS- they are fantastic, but almost too fast and can lead to some unfair pin positions due to the speed. Now I'm all for fast greens- but our round took 5.25 hours why? So many groups in front of us 3-4 putting greens resulting in slow play (granted we watched the group in front of us putting EVERYthing out -which in some cases lead to longer waits (can we all pick up after triple bogie). Not sure if Trull wants to slow their greens down slightly but might help speed up the play.
Awesome greens
The greens were in excellent shape. Fast and smooth. The layout itself while “picturesque” as the scorecard states, is a bit quirky on certain holes. 3 out of 4 par 3’s play way down from elevated tee boxes. Other holes play down and then back up to highly elevated but large greens. I still enjoyed the course and the condition was great. The greens steal the show though, I can’t talk about it enough how perfectly they were rolling. A bonus, the bacon cheeseburger at the turn was among the best golf course burgers I’ve had!
Distinctive Muni
Trull Brook provides lovely settings, entertaining golf, and occasional questions about what they were thinking when they build the place. I play there a few times a year and it's almost always in very good shape. Not a long course. Lots of ups and downs, lots of doglegs, big greens with some that have tougher pitches. The elevation changes provide some challenging shots and some lovely views, particularly down to the adjacent river. There are a few funky holes on the back nine--10 and 11 both feature big drops, and 14 has no decent landing area. But despite the ups and downs and twists and turns, the fairways are generally wide enough to accommodate the changes, and the lack of length makes the course a bit easier despite some of of the design challenges. Since it's a muni, can get slow on the weekend, but they try to keep things moving along. Well worth a visit.
This course is not a "muni". It is privately owed. The public is allow to play. Better course is the area is Hickory Hill that has done renovations. This place lacks service and is content with their layout
