Extremely Poor Dining Experience
I am writing to formally express our disappointment regarding our recent dining experience at your restaurant.
From the moment we were seated, the service and food quality were far below acceptable standards.
It took 13 minutes for our waitress to come to our table.
There was no greeting, introduction, or courtesy when she arrived.
Our appetizer (Steak and Tots) arrived 20 minutes later and was lukewarm, at best.
When we asked what the soup of the day was, our waitress twice stated, “I think it’s only chili,” and only checked after we specifically asked her to.
Ten minutes later she returned and said the soup was chicken vegetable.
We ordered the soup/salad combo and a bowl of chili. Both arrived cold (after another 15 minute wait), and had to be sent back. They came back after 10 minutes.
The salad came with the wrong dressing. When asked what creamy dressings were available, neither the waitress nor the hostess knew.
We requested a manager twice. No manager ever came to the table.
My husband’s shrimp Po’ Boy did not arrive even 40 minutes after ordering. At that point, we paid the bill and asked to take the sandwich to go.
We then spoke with Rachel, who we were told is an owner. Unfortunately, rather than addressing the numerous service and food issues, she focused only on a comment that the waitress did not appear friendly. That was only a small part of a much larger problem.
During this discussion, a man approached from the bar area. When my husband asked (three times) if he was an owner, he refused to answer. Only upon leaving did the hostess tell us he was, in fact, one of the owners. This lack of transparency and professionalism added to an already frustrating situation.
This experience was unacceptable from start to finish. Cold food, excessive delays, staff who were uninformed about the menu, no manager response, and an overall lack of accountability are not what we expected — especially from an establishment located within a country club setting.
We paid over $55 for this experience and left extremely disappointed.
