Evergreen Hills

I like this course because it was quick with a good layout and the upkeep was really good. Even though its off a main road it goes deep enough that the cars are not a problem. For 2 people with a cart as below average golfers we finished 9 holes in about 2 hours with the very first tee time available.

This is the fourth golf course I've visited, and it has been the worst in terms of staff friendliness. My group and I were closely followed and watched by a staff on the course named Dan from holes 1 to 9, which made us feel completely unwelcome and invaded our privacy. When we asked why we were he was watching us, we were met with nothing but yelling and rude words, without any explanation or valid reason for why we were being watched. We were specifically told by Dan, an employee, “I run this course I can be anywhere I want!” Additionally, we were constantly rushed by the staff, even though we were waiting on the groups ahead of us. I highly recommend choosing another course, as there are many excellent options in Michigan.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much going to a $20 round course but wow did it not even reach that level. The whites are unbelievably short even for the average golfer. The greens are not well kept. They were stiff, incredibly slow, divots everywhere, and no consistency with direction.

The staff were horrendous. Absolutely rude and inconsiderate. The ranger was shadowing my group for the entirety of the round. For context, my group finished 9 in under 2.5 hrs yet the ranger and their so-called “golf pro” were constantly coming up to us yelling at us to hurry it up because we were “2 holes behind”. THE GROUP INFRONT OF US WAS ON THE GREEN EVERY TIME WE STEPPED UP TO THE TEE BOX. the ranger was incredibly rude throughout the round constantly giving attitude and made the ridiculous claim that “I own this course, I can be anywhere and do anything I want”. Overall terrible experience. I have been playing golf for over 10 yrs now and played almost everywhere and I can say with full confidence that this was the single worst experience I have ever had.

I’m a relatively new golfer and this was the first course that wasn’t accommodating in any way. The course ranger was hawking us for a few holes and as soon as I approached him I was met with immediate aggression and attitude. The conversation basically ended when he told me he owned the course and I laughed at him. What a joke. I was in a group of 4 and we kept getting rushed even though we were relatively new golfers that finished in about 2 and a half hours. We were getting told that the 2 holes in front of us were empty, which just wasn’t the case. When I went submit a complaint about the ranger the supposed course pro suddenly didn’t have any complaint forms, which honestly makes sense due to how many complaints that ranger probably receives. Then was lied to about when we teed off which is an interesting approach to resolving the situation. The man at the front desk also held the same disrespect towards me and my peers. All in all the only person with dignity and respect at this course was the amazing lady helping us get to our carts. Will never visit again. Price isn’t justified and staff just might be the worst course staff in Michigan.

We are following a foursome that was quite slow and so it ended up taking us 2 hours and 20 minutes to play the nine holes which forever Green is very slow. They had gotten much rain a couple days earlier and a lot of the traps had gullies in it and we're not really playable but that's going to happen occasionally in Michigan when we get downpours all courses have those problems. That being said we had a good time we had good company the weather was perfect and the people are always very nice

This course is very well kept.. especially for the price. Just try to get out before the 10-3pm rush… it’s not a secret anymore ;).

The course was in very good shape & they were working on a few drainage problem areas. the 3 of us played 9 holes in an hour & 45 minutes. All the employees were very kind & helpful.

Did not enjoy playing 3.5 hours for 9 holes. Multiple group waiting times on each tee box. Do not schedule tee times 10 minutes apart if that cannot be enforced or practical. Move to 15-18 minutes tee times to accommodate walkers, lack of a range, and general busy slow play

Staff, amazing. Course below average. Amenities, quad bogey bruh.
