The 12th tee box. The hole is a sharp dog leg right. Slicers have a chance to turn the corner. Draws need to control length to not be in the corner bunker. Photo submitted by norm9602536 on 10/26/2015

Communication
The front 9 was very pretty. However, they failed to tell us on the back there were 4 temporary greens. Just really annoying why they wouldn’t mention that. This is not a cheap course even in the fall. They knew what they were doing just trying to get the money out of us. Really frustrating experience. Communication is key.
November Round
Beautiful day in November, so you have to take advantage of it in Michigan. Pace of play was fine, leaf clean up was decent. Not my favorite course lay out, all greens slope downward so you have to stay below the pin. Not their problem, but I’m not a pro so staying below the pin accurately isn’t easy for most players. Holes 13 and 16 are under construction and it’s a weird situation there and not ideal at all. They had no cart people selling food or drinks. When we called the carry out on the 6th hole to pick up at the turn, no one picked up the phone. We were starving all round and the only thing they had in the clubhouse were processed snacks. Overall, happy to be out playing golf in November in Michigan, but for 50 bucks...definitely not this place. More like 30. Sorry, but improve your customer experience, at least with food available over a 5 hour round in the middle of lunch.
nice course, good shape, but
Two holes were "under construction" so they turned two par 5's into a par 5 and a par 3. No warning except for one little sign on one of the holes. No on one at the pro shop bothered to mention this either.
They have done a great job controlling the leaves.
Great front nine.
First nine was great. The back nine was in poor conditions due to work being done on the course.
My Review
Course is always well kept. How ever it was under construction on two holes and we had to play two holes as a par three and then at it’s normal par without knowing about the construction. The course was charging it’s normal amount. I personally don’t think that was right.
Beautiful course
Great course, great price, awesome staff... please do a favor to yourself and golf here.
Good course under construction
Only one person in our foursome was informed that the back 9 was under construction, and that was after we paid full price. Course is actually nice and we had good pace of play other than the 2 or 4 holes with the construction. Greens were fast but I appreciated the challenge of that. Under it's current condition and price, I would not recommend this course to anybody. Nobody should be paying almost $70 to play holes with make-shift greens built into fairways.
Back 9 under construction!
The course has great quality and the staff are professional, they have to cater to West Bloomfield after all so there’s no denying that. However, the back nine as stated, is under repair and so should the pricing of 18 holes even on a discounted Monday morning. Especially when there’s nothing other than chips, candy, and drinks available. Great for the locals I’m sure but not a destination course in my opinion.
Under Construction
Played this course several times and in the past it was great however this year it simply isn’t worth the price. The back 9 has 2 holes under repair in which they planted a flag in the middle of the fairways and made a par 5 two holes, and a par 4 two holes. They cut the fairway a little shorter in a circle and call it a green. They essentially ruined 2 holes to create 2 more but they fail to tell you that when booking. Once they finish their reconstruction of the 2 former holes it might be worth it but it certainly isn’t the way it stands. Very disappointing. 65 dollars for essentially 15 holes.
Need to adjust price
I have been playing this course for many years. They have put a lot of money into the non-course amenities. We chose to play there today since it was the mid-point from where I live and where my playing partners live. We payed a premium price to play ($65 each) but the pace was slow and four of the holes in the back nine are a clown show. Due to hole construction you tee off on a par three then Immediately tee off a second ball for the next hole (par 5) from that same tee box. You finish your par 3 then go find your other ball to finish the par 5. This same scenario is repeated for the next two holes as well. I understand the need for construction/course improvement but don’t charge us $65 during this work!!
A favorite, when it's not under construction
Love this course. Unfortunately it has been under construction all year, so it's little confusing and disappointing to play the back 9. Once they renovate it will be very, very nice. Until then, play the front.
Twilight 9
enjoyed our round! Course is in marvelous shape, staff is friendly, food in the restaurant was superb. Slow league play in front of us.
Great course to play but...
Had a great time playing this course and it was absolutely beautiful. However, they are doing some construction work on 2 of the holes currently. Some notice before booking or a heads up before starting the course would have been nice. When we got into the middle of the back 9 where they were redoing some holes, we were very confused as to the layout of how to play as were the two groups in front of us. This caused of a bit of a jam on the back 9, you may need to put someone out there or explain how to play this before having people try to figure it out themselves. Thanks!
