There used to a golf course here
The course and driving range were favorites of mine for many years. But now that has all been plowed under and is a corn field alongside I-90, a few miles east of Albert Lea, MN. Makes me feel like shedding a few tears every time I go by. There’s an old Frank Sinatra song “There Used to Be a. Ballpark Right Here” and going by this place I sing, “There used to be a golf course, right here…”
