Most played course in Billings
This course is very popular with the locals as I would call it the most played course in Billings by far. Between the many leagues and tourneys out here and then throw in the locals who just come out to play, it by far sees the most rounds of golf in Billings per year.
For late September the course is showing signs of lots of play this year. The front 9 really seemed run down with lots of dry patches along tee boxes and just off fairway hills. The back 9 seemed in better shape. However all the greens are suffering from lazy players not repairing their ball marks. This was evident on every green - too bad.
This really plays very easy with some slight to bigger dog legs and medium to large sized greens. The greens all have some kind of slope to them but not a lot. Lots of ducks and geese throughout the property.
The driving range has been shortened in size to accommodate the new batting cage/ tee simulator building just north of the clubhouse. Kind of an eye sore IMO.
This course is very easy to score on with only sand bunkers and water hazards to watch out for. Although there are many trees, they do not come into play but are very colorful now with the fall season approaching.
