One of the best I've played this year
I paid $24 for 18 and a cart using my Big red golf pass.
This is a residential course, so the layout is kind of funky. Keep you course map handy.
This is must play for anyone that plays golf in Nebraska. The course plays long and offers a little bit of everything, uneven lies and flat fairways. Open fairways and tree lined holes. If you play from the TIPS you will be challenged. If you play from the whites and don't drive the ball 230 you will be challenged. #7 is a dogleg right that is one of those holes. #12 is another. The two par 5's on the back are tough. #10 is set up so that you want to stay left, but lots of trees and mounds are on that side. #16 is really long and past the first cut, your ball is gone.
The course is in excellent shape, I would have given them 5 stars, but #15 green has a big scar from a hydraulic leak earlier this summer. The greens have plenty of character and the day we played they were faster than most courses I've played this year.
This course gets a lot of play so get a tee time. On this day the starter was putting twosomes on the course on the same pace as foursomes so the pace was kind of disjointed.
Great course, great time. A must play.
It was day before Labor Day and came around to 10 after 9 holes and there were 3 6-somes teeing off 10. Need I say more?
excellent course with options for increased difficulty
I always enjoy going to this course...very friendly staff
Great day at Centura Hills
Course was in GREAT shape and the greens were fast and smooth
Excellent Centura Hills in Cairo, Nebraska
The course conditions were excellent, much better than all the other courses we have played this year in central Nebraska. The greens were fast, smooth, and putted true. The tee boxes were in great shape and level. There are a variety of tee boxes to choose from. The sand bunkers were nicely maintained with adequate sand. There was not anything that I did not like about our round. We plan to visit Centura Hills again in the near future. My only complaint - the ball washers need to be cleaned out and re-filled.
Challenging course with elevaton change, some holes tight, some long and wide open. Always enjoy playing this course for its challenges. The day I played it, it was in great shape, the greens were fast but little rough though. If you're not hitting it straight bring extra balls.
If your in the area like I was looking for a place to play stop this is your destination. Fun course lots of rolling hills. Greens were in great shape and roll true. Just a short drive from grand island. 6800 from the tips made it enjoyable not too long
Best course I've played all year
This was easily the best maintained course I've been on all year. We started early, with a little due on the greens and as that dried up, the greens were extremely fast. This course is very challenging, with some long holes, and some holes that required very thoughtful shot making. If you have not played this course in Nebraska, you have one played one of the top ten courses in the state.
The best looking fairways and greens I've seen around the Grand Island area. Friendly and accommodating staff. Well marked routes on the course. Thank you, I'll play again!!
