East Orange Golf Course

Always fun to play and moves quickly. Only advice is never play it after it rains the night before course doesn’t take water well at all’ wish they would fix it could be amazing

Layout is very reasonable. 1 long walk from 9 to 10: pace of play can get a little long but I’ve never had a round over 4:15 here.

Decent course, on the short side which was made even shorter since everyone was teeing off on the ladies tee boxes. Had to walk due to rain during the week but course is flat, not too long. Some plugged balls and lots of sand/fertilizer on the greens. Pace of play was excellent today, minimal hold ups. Will be coming back.

We played on a very wet course. My only question was if the price we paid including a cart. If it didn't, that is ok.... I thought it did.

I understand because the course was so wet with puddles every 10 feet; that you would be able to ride a cart, so my my only question is that if the price included a cart. I thought we would have received a credit or an adjustment on the fee.

Wind chill in teens so we pretty much had the course to ourselves. But course was clean and in decent shape for Jan, staff is friendly. Some temporary tees or teed off from ladies tees.

I don’t expect much in January around here. Winter golf day. Was cold and greens very hard for the first 9 holes. Things warmed up a little and balks held better.

Overall an easy layout. No water except for a few streams that you need to be aware of. Played shorter than normal due to several tee boxes covered for winter.

Weather was good for January so off we went. Considering the time of year course was in good shape. Great course to walk which it is well set up for. Pace of play was excellent. Played 18 in 3:46. All in all I would do it again without hesitation.

We had a wonderful time at East Orange on Monday. There was a frost delay until noon (maybe figure out a way to notify the golfpass bookers of this in advance?) but we were able to find a diner nearby. while we waited. The course is fairly short so with the hardened ground we were driving the ball well over 220 yards with regularity (nice for two 60 year olds... The reservoir on the back side is beautiful and with the course pretty empty due to the time of year it was a very relaxing day.

Course is good at best. Always had a water issue. Needs more TLC Simply not worth $50 though. Front nine very short even from tips. Could make it much tougher w more bunkers faster greens. Back nine is surprisingly long - over 3,000 yards. Easy to walk as well. Play there at least 6 times a year. Course needs to shut in late fall and winter to let the grounds fill in and let the course repair itself.

Thanks to the landscaper for the nicely cut fairways and roughs, and keeping leaves clear! Played entire round in the fog. We played our round in just about 4 hours - because we could find our golf balls!!! Tee boxes a little beat up from recent rains, but fairways, hazards and greens in good condition. would be nice if fellow golfers helped with the fairway divots. Food at the 10th hole was perfect! Will return!
