A waste of money
Always loved playing here. It’s a drive from Santa Fe but was always worth it. The course have been let go down hill big time. Paid $52 to play a $5 course. I have never written a review like this, but the management deserves it for ruining such a beautiful course. Frankly I want my money returned but know it won’t happen. TeeOff you should review courses you put on you availability. J.S
Would give 5 stars, but...
I loved the layout. It was a lot of fun to play. It was very dry however. I think the summer has been hard on it. Also, pace of play was very slow. In the end, it was still worth it to me because the layout was so challenging and fun.
Good mountain course
Needs rain
Fairways are pretty beat up by lack of rain
Supposed to be cart paths only
Could be a stellar course
The place has so much going for it! It needs a lot of TLC. Greens and fairways were sparse. Beautiful views. Some blind shots. A lot of elevation changes. Greens have enough undulations to be interesting. Hope they can get it up to good playing conditions.
Awesome!!!
The course is amazing and so are the people. The layout is awesome and the scenery is absolutely amazing. The only thing was a little disappointing from previous times I have played was course condition, everything was a little dry and not as green as usual, but that’s understandable with the weather they had this year. I would totally recommend this course to anyone looking to have a fun relaxing round that doesn’t break the bank.
It is difficult times for golf courses generally.
Very slow play as 5-some allowed in mid morning round with beginners. Had to quit after. 9.5 holes.
This is a Mountain course which when adequate moisture is great to play.
Nice scenery but the back nine was closed at this time. Paid only $20
Golfnow! Refund my deposit. I paid up front at the course, since they had a special. And Golfnow. Make some way to contact you. I will not use your service again if I do not get a refund of deposit.
The course needed water bad. The greens were less than 50% green. the rest, brown town. Hence the $20 fee.
Mountain golf
Course was in great condition. Pace of play was slow had foursome in front that kept hunting for lost balls no Marshall on course. Took almost 5:00 hours when mentioned in clubhouse didn’t seem to care. Besides that I would play again but I would make sure I knew who was playing in front of me.
Great course
This is a great unique layout. Beautiful views of the mountains.
Going downhill fast
Played in late June and they said there hadn’t been any rain and the course was dry. That was an understatement. The grass was nonexistent. When the ball landed in the fairway, the dust flew up and the ball went forever. Everything was hard packed and impossible to take a divot. Not that spin would help any on the hard and dry greens. Too bad that this one isn’t taken better care of. It could have been a hidden gem.
This is a GREAT little golf course!
The Pro here is Great, the course is in good shape, carts are like new, snack bar as good food for reasonable price.
Awesome
Course is great. Club selection is crucial. I myself average about 220 yards off the tee but here I was getting an extra 30 yards.
Beautiful place
Friendly people , great accommodations , fun course,
Worst conditions ever
Drove 700 miles to play a "resort" golf course. Worst conditions ever played. Front nine fairways were 2 inches thick with yellow and white flowers covering fairways. Rough was 5 inches thick. Hit two balls in fairway and could not find ball. Spent more time looking for balls than enjoying golf. Greens were aeriated, but no sand to fill holes so like putting on a shag carpet with gopher holes. Just luck of draw to make a 4 footer. 2 of the 3 par 5s, had to hit 8 or 7 off tee to keep in fairway due to severe dogleggs. Several par fours, I would say were not a fair test of golf due to ridiculous dogleg angle. Back nine was mowed, but fairways still over inch thick. Course is more design for golfers that average 200 yards or less off the tee. Several tee boxes had no grass , so was hitting off dirt or mud. I understand that it was just open after winter, but starting up a mower and using it would have not hurt the grass and $55 green fee was ridiculous. If I could say a couple of good things about course, it would be the carts were new and head pro was very friendly. Course may improve in another month or two, but do not play the course in May or June ever.
