Lush fair test on a gorgeous day
What a pleasant surprise. My girlfriend and I made an 830 tee time. We are both decent players. Alo ( pro ) was super friendly and helpful. Merch was decent ( awesome logo ).. course was lush and greens were decent speed. We took cart bc of time crunch but definitely a walkable course. Really only negative was absence of drinking fountains or beverage cart. Course is not tricked up and while there were some longish par 4s it's scorable. Great hospitality by all staff
Most Improved
Amongst many wonderful local area golf course options, Santa Fe Country Club ranks among the "most overall Improved" experiences. Course Superintendent Gary Hodge & his crew have done a truly commendable job in restoring this course to its all-time best current conditions -- the greens are fabulous, fairways lush, & holes challenging. For locals and out of town visitors alike, Santa Fe Country Club GC is a great option, as well as value for players at all levels.
Worth playing, repeatedly.
Great course in great shape. I am a first time visitor to NM. This was my first round of golf here (Santa Fe). I enjoyed it so much, I may just continue going there for my 2 weeks. I have some new clubs I need to try out, so I need to hit multiple shots with different clubs frequently. You couldn't expect to do this at most courses, but it was no problem here. The staff and members were very friendly and helpful. I am staying in downtown SF, and the course is near the airport. A 15 minute drive is a plus also. I don't know what more you could ask for.
