About
LeRoy Country Club is conveniently situated just 25 minutes from downtown Rochester and less than an hour from Buffalo. It's one of western New York's most accessible public golf courses. The course opened in 1930 as the first public nine-hole layout in LeRoy. The creation of the golf course was spearheaded by Orator Woodward, youngest song of Jell-O magnate Donald Woodward. He believed the landscape of rolling hills and meandering streams was the ideal setting for a round of golf. The natural contours of the terrain helped to determine the placement of the bunkers. Water comes into play on a few holes at LeRoy Country Club, most notably on the finishing two. A large lake on the 17th turns into a creek that wanders across the middle of the final par-3 hole.

Had a fun game
We enjoyed our round at this club. It was a morning Tee off time and the course was not crowded at all. We were able to play at a pace that we enjoy. The course was a little long for a novice golfer and the arrangement of holes on the back 9 was a little strange ( come back to the club house on 16 and then do two short par 3 holes beside the club house) There was some repair work going on during our round but it did not cause any problems
Leroy in better shape
After a round in May, wasn't sure if I'd go back. Tried it again on 6/23 ans was pleasantly surprised. Greens in better condition, pace of play better, upgrades being done. Keep it up.
got right on and hooked up with two nice younger guys and had fun day.
excellent value for the money. great weather, course needs mowing, but for the money its a great deal.
Pace of play was a little slow
The pace of play was a little slow but the course was in good condition and provided for a nice day on the course.
Gem of a Course
Played late afternoon for an incredible Golf now deal. Course was lush and greens were in very good condition. If you like to hit driver this course should satisfy you. I can't say enough about this course...made for a great late afternoon round.

No wait! Good pace of play. Greens aeriated recently left small holes. No signage to tell you the hole number you were on, or the next hole to go to.
Conditions are very good
Golfed here many years ago. Thought it was dry and unkempt. Conditions at this time were very good (2 dates this summer), Price through Golfnow was incredible and makes the 1 hour trip out to LeRoy more than worthwhile.
This is a very challaging course & fun to Play.
I enjoyed playing this course very much. I will be playing it again.
some holes are easy, while some will challenge the best golfers. they continue to make improvements.
I play 30+ courses in WNY each year and this course gets my positive vote every year. The people care (pro shop and greens). It is better than average value. Difficult and easy holes, fun. Try it, you will like it.

course is kept in great shape...staff is superb...good food & drinks available afterwords
