Nice variety, slow greens
Liked the course overall. Layout is a bit confusing and greens pretty slow.
Had a lot of fun though!
Ok course
Greens are alright, fairways are not great, confusing layout. Course has certainly seen better days. Many of the signs for the holes are broken or not there so it is hard to follow the layout. Clubhouse looks rundown and there are no directions to the counter or first hole.
course in great shape but we got rained out
The course was in suprisingly good condition in spite of all the rain we have had the past month. We made it thorugh nine holes but got rained out on 10 and left after sitting under a tree for a half hour waiting for it to stop. Rain continued so we left. Probably will come back. A fun course but hilly and I wouldn't recommend trying to walk unless you;re in good shape.
Hidden Gem
Played 9 holes this morning. It was in the best shape for in years. The greens were perfect and the fairways were immaculate. Best course conditions in the area.
Decent course
My cousin Bob and I played Fillmore on 10/02/14 under partly sunny skies and warm temps. The course was deserted and we got out immediately. The Golfnow hot rate ($10!) made the hour drive from Binghamton worth it. The clubhouse is basic, but had a bar/grille that was unfortunately closed due to the time/day/season. The carts are gas and ran well, but were held together with bailing twine and a prayer. The course itself is a nice layout, but recent rains made it sloppy in spots and it didn't look like they'd mowed in a week. The cart paths are rutted badly in places and in need of some grading/gravel. Hole #10 is part of the driving range (weird), and that's a shame because its an otherwise nice hole. All in all it was a good play and we enjoyed the uniqueness of several of the holes. Worth a play if you're in the area.
It is what it is.
Course appears to be experiencing difficult times. Equipment is vintage and in need of updating. Fairways are overgrown with weeds and in need of mowing. However, greens are generally well kept and roll well. Tee boxes are so, so. Yellow and red tee boxes are very slim and not level.
