Great Place to Practice
Sandy Pond is a par 3 course in the middle of Riverhead. I like to think of it as the ultimate practice facility for those of us who don't have $100k to spend on joining one of the local clubs. The owners are two of the nicest guys around and take a lot of pride in this little course. I am a very serious golfer, but I also like to have fun. This is by far the best way to practice your game from 150 yards in. Also a great way to get kids and beginners hooked on golf.
