Reviews
very good condition.
The course is very well maintained. I also had no problem with pace of playing.
However, two par 4 holes are very short so I had to tee up with iron. If you like short course you will like this course.
Good Course
The course was in good shape. The course is a good test of your skill. Bring some extra balls when you play for the first time. I would not play this course at the regular price.
Beautiful and challenging
The course is beautifully kept with well manicured fairways and greens and lots of interesting wildlife--birds and waterfowl. It was a joy to play. It rewards driving accuracy with its narrow fairways and numerous water hazards. Nice to find a private club that accepts reservations from the general public. And especially nice when you can get a reduced rate on GolfNow. Friendly and efficient staff. Also, my wife had a fantastic lesson with the head of instruction--Howard Wykoff--who is excellent.
Great course
Great place for a quick 9 holes. Pace of play always acceptable. Quiet course, good to improve skill levels
This is a challenging course
For November 17th the course was well maintained with leaves swept from the fairways and greens. Pace of play was also good and the staff were suer friendly and attentive.
Great if you can pay a Hot Deal price
This is a good 9 Hole course. The first 2 holes are very narrow and run between houses so long irons are recommended. The staff was super cordial and considerate so you feel like you are at a private club. This is a good practice/recreational type of course. Bring low price/used golf balls since they are easy to lose with all the water hazards that must be crossed in half the Holes.
tigbt and challenging
Tight driving holes. Course in good shape - a lot of sand traps. Well run with a friendly staff.
Beautiful yet difficult
It is a very beautiful course, very well maintained and great staff but get ready to for a rough day. You might as well leave your driver at home, it is really only useful on two holes, very narrow course. Accuracy must be immaculate, in order to have a great day. There are alot of water traps, and sand traps, and it can be a very frustrating day.
Great course. Best to use #3 wood at T-box. Fairway too tight for Driver.
Great course. Best to use #3 wood at T-box. Fairway too tight for #1 Driver.
great day!
arrived a few minutes before tee time. check in was flawless. sent right to tee box with complimentary water. played whites going out and blues in. waived through what looked to be a teaching threesome. finished in less than 4 hours. we will be back.10 /3/13
A little different
there are houses along every hole so it feels like you are playing in people's backyard.... that was a little different but all in all it was a nice round
Wonderful time
My 13 year old and I had a great time at Doral. The fact that it's 9 holes didn't matter in the least. We played them twice and the challenge, conditions & our game made it fun & very different both times.
Contrived
This 9-hole course consists of an odd arrangement of stretches of land woven around houses and swamps, artificially contoured with mini mounds to make fairways interesting and neither a course map nor signage on the cart paths to direct players unfamiliar with the course (that would be most players since it's a resort) during their round. It's a practice course. It advertises itself as an 18-hole course and it's pricing discourages people from playing just nine.
One positive - greens are good, though not of uniform speed.
very tight with lots of water and close OB's. Greens good
Our foursome played Doral because our home Club had just been aerated. Doral was in excellent condition. We all were concerned with 9 hole layout but after playing 18 no one saw a problem with the 9 hole layout. In fact we all agreed that playing the same 9 twice would reult in a better understanding of the course on the second 9. Starter and Pro were very helpful
Very tight layout bring balls to replace those lost in water or OB.
Wow
What a surprise Doral was. With the deal I got on golfnow, I feel like I was stealing! A morning tee time in Westchester county for $22.50 (with promo code)? Yes please.
Even in the rain, course conditions were amazing. It felt like somebody picked us up and placed us in Florida. Such a nice break from the other public courses in the county.
When we got there, there weren't many people around so we were able to go out early. We played the 9 holes twice without having to wait for anybody in front of us or having to be rushed by people behind us.
Loved the difficult layout. A little bit of everything in nine holes. Extensive bunkering, many beautiful water hazards, and plenty of nice condos to accidentally shank your drives at. Greens were rolling very true and I am happy the rain slowed them down (a lot) or else I would have been in for a long day.
No Cons.
I think this course is worth the greens fees, but I am pleased with the awesome deal from golfnow. Go to Doral.
Fantastic condition, a pleasure to play
Doral Arrowwood is a lot of fun to play. Water plays a part on 8 of the 9 holes. The fairways are some of the best in the area, with narrow and undulating greens. The cost is a little steep for 9/18 holes, but worth it. You can also get reduced rates from GolfNow.com.
Really nice course
...but challenging. tight fairways, lots of sand and water. Course was in great condition though so it was nice to enjoy the scenery.
GREAT COURSE
Beautifully maintained, plush fairways, large "fast" greens. Just what you would expect from a "Private-Semi-Private Course! Only downside is its only nine holes so you go around twice played from white going out, blue coming in! Highly recommend!
Always a good experience
Every time I play I get a friendly staff, a well maintained course, and a bargain price.
Excellent holes, and in great shape.
Challenging. Has several narrow fairways, lots of traps and water hazards. Good value for the Golfnow rate.

Enjoyed a nice quiet afternoon round on one of the most beautiful courses in Westchester. The resort setting and the friendly staff make this a very inviting location. There is a lot of water - 8 of the 9 holes have some water hazard which can be intimidating to some.
