Reviews
Nice course
From the blue tee is much more difficult than white tee. Nice course, love to play there.
9 Holes
Very nice course. Only draw back is that it is only 9 holes. If you don't mind playing the same 9 holes back to back then I highly recommend this course.
Beautiful country club but
it was my first time to play here. I was not expected at all but condition of courses were great but it is pretty small and short but I should not expect for 9 hole country club. I enjoyed it. Hope the restaurant opens soon.
Beautiful course with a good mix of sand and water
Course was in good shape for an April round. Pace of play was excellent, never waited. Large greens, gorgeous views, and minimal wildlife. Very clean facilities, and excellent staff (Ryan did a A+ job cleaning our clubs post-round and helping us with our clubs to the car). Excellent customer service.
Graet Customer Service
Made a tee time through Golfnow and got a terrifiic rate. Although weather forecast was iffy I decided to play. Was welcomed warmly and played 9 holes in a very light rain. Tried to play 9 more and was stuck in a steady cold rain. I got most of the holes in , but was surprised to know that I was granted a refund as a cancellation. Course was in very good shape for the horrible winter. Greens were very playable as were fairways. Overall a very nice experience.
Great course!
Course was in great shape. Fairways were cut nicely. The greens were rolling about 11, and the weather for that day was ideal!
One of the best things that happened to me that day was the opportunity to play the first nine holes with a pro, priceless.
disappointing round of golf
This is a challenging track, a lot of water, short holes, a lot of bunkers. The problem with the course is slow pace of play because of second tee shots, people hole jumping...a twosome skipped a par 3 and went ahead of a foursome. On the second round we wind up with a twosome ahead of us that had four kids under the age of 10 running around the golf course while the two adults are playing. Then we find out after we paid $60.00 a person for 18 holes and a cart that they have a special for $49.00 per person. We went inside the hotel for lunch and the food was good. Golf was very disappointing!
Very challenging track
Course is in excellent shape. Challenging track. Look forward to playing it again.
a bad goste could make you feel good
the landscaping of this course can make a low scoring golf day, not make you feel so bad.
after you make that not so perfect shot instead of saying what the beep beep was that? You say as you look around your surroundings oh well I will make it up on the next hole. Lol
great course to include in your rotation
excellent pace of play, course in nice shape (greens recently aerated, looking forward to coming back in a week or so), staff very welcoming
real surprise
In reading about course , I was intimidated somewhat, but found it playable and interesting.
Nice course - short but still tricky
Shortish course with most holes having good risk/reward options for longer hitters which makes it interesting. Greens generally small (mix between narrow and shallow) and well protected by bunkers, although most bunkers are shallow so not too difficult to get out of. Some greens have lots of undulation and can be very tricky with certain pin placements. Don't be deceived by lack of length.
Overall, nice course in good condition with good pace of play (2hrs for each 9), however for $65 you want to be playing 18 and not 9.
Great 9 holer
water on 7 of the 9 holes, so that makes the course harder.
Great layout. On one par 4 (8th hole) you can get home with 7 iron & 8 iron. much more difficult than it sounds and that what make Doral Arrowwood so interesting. all three par 3's require a carry over water. Lots of memorability and interesting shot selection choices abound. Definitely play Doral
Fun course
The hills and contours make this an interesting course. Distance not critical , course management is the key . We play this course every time in the area. Play different tees, blue/white front and back, makes you think
hacker
Beautiful course but it was marred by some very inconsiderate players and there was no ranger to observe the open holes caused by incredibly slow players who even paused to take photos of each other.
play
the course was gimmicky not what I'm use to the staff was polite the price was right so for $29 it was alright.....
Challenging course with Tough Pin Placements
Challenging but short course with tight fairways, bunkered greens.
First-timers like me could benefit from some course advice on the scorecard or at the tee boxes. Best to aim near the fairway bunkers. Greens are tough and because of the ample bunkers, require precision and course management. Wish it was 18 holes!
Doral does it again!
Great course challenging and beautiful!!!
First time here and definitely will be back.
Hidden Gem for Golf in Westchester County
Nine of the toughest most rewarding holes that I've played in area. Upon arrival in the area 3 years ago, my wife and I investigated several golf clubs to join. Our primary interest was in finding a challenging course that my wife, a beginner and myself a weekend warrior of 30+ years could both be satisfied. At Doral my wife was able to join a group of women of various skill levels for a daily round of golf and social interaction that challenged both her game and wit. Additionally, the golf instruction program and practice facility are exceptional, better than many private clubs. The course is well run and the quality of care is second to none. We've never had a problem getting out when we wanted and the staff ensures satisfaction to members, guests and the public. There are member only tee times on the weekend that ensure a fast round and enjoyable experience. Annual membership is reasonable compared to other courses in the area and there are no cart fees. As a member there are discounts at the driving range and the pro-shop. All in all, it has been a great three years at Doral and if we continued to stay in the area would renew again and again. The course never seemed to get too easy.
Doral Mini Monster
Course was in great shape considering all the rain they received the day before. Greens rolled true but bit slow; probably due to the weather. Par 3's are awesome and fun. Only negative was a bucket of small range balls cost $10 - at a resort like this and the amount paid to play you would expect they would be complimentary or no more than $5 - also no beverage cart and the clubhouse grill closed at 7 on the weekend which was odd.
