Enjoyable Muni
Always enjoy playing a couple rounds a year at this course. Excellently maintained compared to many Muni courses I have played.
Good variety of holes including 5 par-3's and 5 par-5's. May play a little short for longer hitters with the exception of 3 or 4 holes.. Nevertheless a good challenge for all with a mixture of position holes, water holes and undulating greens.
Three practice greens and a irons-only driving range. Very welcoming bar and wait staff. Great value!
Good Muni Course
Excellent municipal course. A fun course to play. Whites tees (on the front 9) are a little short - Drive and short iron. Back 9 is 3-(par 3, 4, and 5). For the longer hitters, most Par 5's can be reached in 2 with a good tee shot and fairway wood. This is one of my top 5 courses open to the public in the NY-Capital region, and we have maybe 20 good courses within an hour's drive time.

Since the original posting the course maintenance has greatly improved. I now rate Schenectady Muni at 4 1/2 stars. You should play this course.
