Bergen Point Golf Club

Okay, it’s not the most challenging of layouts (unless you let water psych you out), but it is quite beautiful in many spots and a lot of fun, especially for fans of links golf, like me. (Walk if you can.). The course is in good shape for this time of year. Fairways are narrow, so concentrate on accuracy, not length. Bring a rangefinder as there are Par 3s where distances off the scorecards are not accurate given pin and tee placements. Staff, including rangers, are very friendly and accommodating. (I don’t understand some of the negative reviews of staff by some earlier reviewers, but it’s unwarranted in my judgment.). A couple of to-dos for next season: new sand in the bunkers, which are now stony in spots, and repave the parking lot, which looks, and is, shabby

Course was completely saturated and swampy. The layout isnt great. Grounds keeper in the blue pick up truck was rude and arrogant and just because of him my friends and i will never return to this course.

I played the hot deal at 11:40 AM for $35 this course was a steal it’s very nice the fairways are good the greens worse soft there were some challenging holes with water which is awesome there were some holes in the back nine where it did feel like you were hitting off rocks I would definitely play here again and I plan on playing here again for sure

The greens are excellent but the fairways were wet after some rain. The sand traps are well maintained . Overall it’s a nice track we played in 4 hours and we had a slow group in front of us.

The course was closed when we arrived for our 3pm tee time.

We were never notified nor was there anyone answering phones to advise as why the course was closed.

We would also like our $10 green fees to be refunded .

Course plays by the water so there is a constant wind. Layout is awkward in some spots but it makes for some very interesting shot management. Throw in the 10-15 mph wind all day and you have what should be an easier course made that much more difficult.

Tough course and I enjoyed it - lot of water hazards

Was not expecting great conditions because it is a county/muni course. But pleasantly surprised. Very nice average speed greens. Nice fairways, level tee boxes, and very nicely maintained bunkers.

The layout is challenging, it is pretty long from the blue tees with some long 400+ uphill 4's. Many of the greens are elevated and well bunkered. I used every club in the bag which is nice. Great views and easy to walk. Nice practice green and a nice range as well.

The people working there were very nice and helpful.

Will play again next time am in the area.
