The course was in excellent condition the greens where perfect can’t wait to play again
Good track
Some water, fairway hazards and dog legs make for a challenge. Interesting layout. Good shape for a muni.
Old course with new tricks
I used to play this course on a regular basis. About 12 years ago. Back then, the course was not very good looking. You had hard pan all over the place. It was a very ugly. But, much to my surprise. The course is in excellent shape. Gone are the days of hard pan and bare grass. The greens are in excellent shape (very fast) they made improvements to some of the holes and put some challenging rough in areas. So no more short cuts!! The staff that I encountered were very nice and helpful. The pace of play was terrific. We got the round in. Just under 4 hours. (It felt longer lol) we were very impressed with the whole day. On 18 we declared that we have to play Bergen point again.
Could be better

Tee boxes- flat, good condition, could be trimmed flatter but nbd
Fairways- carpet, super, great condition, best its been in 15 yrs
Bunkers- could be bigger, some rocks, just needs more love
Rough- theres zero grass outside the fairways. If they grew out the grass it could be a top LI course. Its just dirt
Food- Limited on a monday, chef was off
Not very friendly
1st time playing here starter need to lose the attitude. Course is ok needs work especially cart paths dumpy looking. Very slow play need someone to push the slackers. Do not recommend this course

You want me to review this course??? It would help if the course was open when we drove an hour to play it!!! It rained in the morning, but maybe have the decency to reach out to your customers (Bergen, Golf Now) and let them know you’re closed??? No, instead I heard crickets. And when I called GolfNow I was told, oh well sorry. Glad I’m a Golf Pass member!! What a joke, and a waste of money
