Maple Moor Golf Course

It took 3 hours to play just 9 holes. Stop overbooking!

Too bad because the course and staff are great, but the pace is inexcusable.

Arrived about 45 minutes ahead of my tee time. Was told I couldn't check in, come back in 15 minutes. Return 15 minutes later to check in and the person ahead of me on the line is checking in 6 minutes before their tee time. Really! Now I know why we were 8 minutes late to tee off. Why not encourage players to arrive early and let them check in rather than make them wait when they do arrive early? Front 9 played in 2 hours and 50 minutes. There were two groups waiting on every tee box on the first 9 holes to tee off. Starter should not let groups tee off until the group in front is on the 1st tee for proper pacing purposes. I raised pace of play to the ranger on hole 7 who simply said it's a public course (thanks for nothing) and also doubted the time I told him I teed off. He later came back and said I was correct in when I said I teed off. I play a lot of public golf and as far as pacing was concerned this was right up there as one of the worst. Also, there was no mention when I checked in or from the starter that carts needed to be returned 40 minutes before sunset. I got a nice electronic love note on my GPS cart advising me to turn the carts in at 5:30 p.m. How about letting people play the course until sundown and then turn the carts in. On the plus side, the course was in nice shape, hence the fair rating. Leaves were blown off the course, greens were in decent shape, but all of that was overshadowed by the check in process, horrible pace of play and lack of transparency around the time carts needed to be returned. Westchester County and Maple Moor, you can do better!

Horrible - ranger didn’t move people along. 3 hours to only get 9 in. Was told could play 18. Took my money.

As I'm always looking to improve my game and enjoy the scenery, I felt that this club had a great layout, well maintained, nice and challenging. Although there were some redundant layouts on some of the holes that looked very similar, I enjoyed the experience. The problem I always have with public courses is people's lack of basic golf etiquette as well as efficiency of play.

The last two times I played the course wasn’t fully ready to play. Work on 17th hole sprinkler closed the hole and two weeks of aeration made putting impossible. Otherwise one of the better westchester munis.

Just to be quick, very rude staff at pro shop and horrendous pace of play… don’t waste your time. Course is ok but once you realize that staff has no manners and that you will be waiting on every single shot you will know that you make a big mistake coming here. Also for those who are looking for pain, greens just got punch recently.

Airated greens made putting very bumpy. We basically gave our group anything within 2 feet. I’m sure that lowered scores a bit!!!!!😆

Lots of patchy fairways and tee boxes. Greens were aerated but they failed to fill most of the holes with sand. Belo average this time round.

Marshalls really need to resolve slow play. When there is someone on the green, someone on the fairway and 2 groups waiting to tee off, it's bad.

We always have fun at Maple Moor. They are aerating the greens now but are are many others

The greens were being aerated so there was a discount at check in. The temporary flag positions were a little ridiculous. Pace of play was a little slow. Having the group behind us ask to play through when there were 3 groups on the par 5 4th hole was absurd. Where the f do you think you’re going to go.
