Staff needs attitude adjustment
Both the pro shop, and the starter need to be more friendly.
For example, I was in the pro shop a phone call came in young lady, picked up the phone the African-American male asked who is it ?she replied some name, he tells her tell him I’m your daddy, this is inappropriate ..
As customers we should not be exposed to this sexual innuendo/joke.
As for the starter very nasty, very abrupt, extremely unfriendly.
Both the pro shop staff and the starter need serious adjustment in customer service.
And keep the sexual innuendos/joke behind the scenes.
As a customers We as golfers should not be exposed to this idiocy…
I hope management reads this and makes a serious adjustment with the staff.

Great Course, Horrible Pace of Play
This is a very nicely maintained muni course in the Westchester County Parks Dept. My friend and I went on what turned out to be the nicest Sunday yet this season, and the course was PACKED. We had two groups ahead of us when our time hit, but then to make matters worse, the starter told another foursome who had missed their earlier time to tee off before us. We teed off about 25 minutes late, and then the 18 hole round took 5.5 hours. Pretty Brutal.

Wonderful course!
axon Woods is a wonderful Westchester Public golf course and restaurant. The fairways and greens are in great shape. The course is difficult enough for very good players but also lenient for newer players. A fun and scenic course, with great prices on discounted websites like GolfNow and TeeOff. The restaurant offers typical pub dining in a nice outside environment.

Everytime
Everytime I give this course another shot I regret it, love the course good shape but everytime it’s something. The starter that wants to shove you out soon as you walk up but will send Out 3 solos, then there’s no ranger it’s a free for all for locals being the kids play 6… and the pace of play should include breakfast lunch and dinner cause 3 hrs for a 9holes is minimum here. And I know it’s a muni not asking for miracles but when they put you on hold til you hang up in the pro shop when you call to complain about the pace of play or ask if there’s a ranger out; and then come out and demand that the carts be back at 7:15 promptly when you teed off at 2:30 and it’s 6:30 and your still on hole 14.

Best Staff in Westchester
The staff are the absolute best. They are so kind and professional. They manage the course wonderfully and maintain a great pace of play. I recommend this course highly for many reasons, but staff is the number one.
